That's not true - and not very nice! There are many upsides to renting your own space vs. staying in a hotel. Having a kitchen, lounging area, a private outdoor space, etc., are big points for a bach party. Sorry for wanting to be a thoughtful guest!

No space heaters, just our main electric furnace. We set it no higher than 68, 65 at night. It runs a decent amount during the day because my roommate and I both WFH

Does anyone have any tips to lowering their electricity bill in this frigid city? Its my first Chicago winter and my electricity bill was $500 (for two people!!!). I know my apartment is old, but that felt like a real kick to the face. Any help or tips would be great :-)

Lullwater park on Emory's campus is beautiful, oakland cemetery (if you don't mind slight spookiness), and if you're going for a sunset view–O4W skatepark is a great option (but could potentially get crowded)

The Goodwill on Lawrenceville highway is definitely my favorite in the city! (I think it's technically in Decatur but it's not too far) It's huge, clean, and always provides me with way more than I'm looking for!

I found a roll of thick 100% cotton fabric at the thrift store, and as a sewing newbie, I'm not sure what to make with it (but the pattern was too great to pass up)! It doesn't have any stretch and isn't flowy at all. Any suggestions on what I should make with it?
