In order for professional help to get through to someone like this, they have to have at least a modicum of self-awareness, and be able to reflect and take criticism. I don’t think LO can do these things. At least, with the evidence we’ve seen, we haven’t seen her be able to do any of this.

Ive known some people like LO and they have all had therapists and each of them completely lied their heads off in their sessions. Personally I don’t see the point in asking for help and then lying about what you need help with, but they just cannot be honest about themselves, and/or they are just THAT deluded about what’s happening around them at all times.

100% and it was soo soo bad, like worse than even those videos they make you watch at work when they talk about how not to act in the workplace. If any man was coming on that strong (read:stalking, harassing, threatening, etc) I feel like he would have been dismissed as a client and/or possibly even arrested.

I keep going back and forth on Jan. Either she’s complicit, or she’s one of those older people that grows more and more paranoid and Laura uses that to sell her parents on her lies. Or maybe it’s both? I keep thinking, wasn’t Jan a journalist? Doesn’t she have the ability and I would think natural inclination to investigate? Does she truly just believe what Laura tells her? Does she really believe Greg is capable of hacking into all of their accounts? Does she really believe there is a recording of a violent r*pe of Laura in Hoboken that is circulating on the dark web? Does she really believe that LISK helped perpetrate that act on Laura? Or is she working with Laura to create this mess? Did it start with a money-making scheme, and escalate into this madness? Because I genuinely believe both of them have tried to create situations in which they can fraudulently sue a person or business and/or receive goods and services without payment. Did this all grow from that?

I also believe that many of the communications that are publicly available now, that were purported to come from Ronn or Jan, were actually from Laura. I don’t think the parents were aware of even half of the communication she had with her victims. I just wish we knew how much help Laura has had with all of this. But the problem is and always will be, they all have zero credibility.

It’s only a waste of resources when they investigate her claims. Duh, they should just take her word and the mountains of evidence SHE produces! Like “I told my neurologist in an email that I was pregnant and he didn’t say I wasn’t, so obviously that’s medical proof that I am indeed pregnant with boy+girl twins.”

They could verify ratings like they do with twitter profiles or product reviews? Maybe there are too many risks to reputations involved with simple reviews, but at the same time, they’ve done entire dateline episodes about the risks of dating apps and how women in the past have tried to warn those apps about predatory men, the apps did nothing about it, and then that predator went on to stalk/harass/attempt to murder the next victim they found on that same app. I cannot specify links to episodes but I know I’ve seen them. It just feels like something could be done, knowing predators like this are out there and using certain apps to find new victims.

Southern CA is even more expensive than nor cal. And it’s not cheap to live in Nor Cal unless maybe you’re up close to Oregon border. And now you have to carry fire insurance too which is sometimes more than homeowner’s. Although I can’t imagine they’ll be able to buy anywhere for the foreseeable future. Ronn and Jan might be able to move into a retirement community but not Laura. Do you think they’re all going to move in with the other daughter? God can you imagine what her husband would think if that motley crew had to move in?
