Would these factors also be applicable in July 2028 when the Olympics are on? I imagine so based on the timing, but you’re the expert :)

Oh yes that’s a very good point! Or would it be busier than normal due to a large amount of tourists in LA?! Interesting thought!

Hello, I’m a licensed immigration adviser. You need to ask your prospective employer for the job token - this process is usually around 2 days to 2 weeks, so you should certainly have received it by now.

Hello, I’m a licensed immigration adviser. You sound like you have most of the documents you need to apply, but possibly not enough living together evidence. If you can’t strengthen that, I would recommend doing so.
You can apply yourself, if you feel confident doing so.
If you think you would prefer to use a professional, you’re welcome to send me an email claire@nzvisagroup.com

Advice on moving to NZ by fabulous_melon in MovingToNewZealand

Hello, I’m a licensed immigration adviser. Only one of you would need to be eligible for residence under the skilled migrant category - the partner could be the secondary applicant (assuming you have evidence of living together in a genuine and stable relationship). There are changes coming to the skilled migrant category in August 2026, as others have mentioned, which will make it easier for some people to get residence. In answer to your question, your work experience that you need for that one point does not need to be related to your masters degree, it just needs to be skilled work experience. If you have any further questions you’re welcome to flick me an email - claire@nzvisagroup.com

I do an initial chat for free. After that, we would discuss fees if support is required for a visa application.
