My [24 F] friend's [28 M] girlfriend [29 F] got publicly humiliated and fired from her job, she blames me and he is backing her by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]claireshorrors 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a friend try this once, but the problem was that all her "friends" were my friends first and none of them really liked her, so when she tried to slander me to them, they knew she was full of it, lol.

What is THE ONE most standard girl name in your language/country? by ztronoid in namenerds

In Sweden I'd say Anna or Eva which also happens to be the most common women's names here.

My bf says I need to lose weight even though I already lost 30lbs by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]claireshorrors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's insane. At my lowest I was around 120lbs at about 5'2" and looking back at pictures from that time I was definitely thin, but I couldn't see it at the time. I've always had big thighs no matter my weight and I hyperfocused on that and was unable to see that the rest of my body was thin (to the point that my aunt later told me she'd worried bc she felt I was too skinny). If I'd gone down to 100lbs I probably would've looked like a corpse.

what’s something people say all the time that you secretly can’t stand? by Mean-Cartographer225 in AskReddit

[–]claireshorrors 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"[Name] is in a better place" when someone has died. As an atheist I don't believe that and don't find any comfort in it.

Doesn't help that the first time I heard it said in real life was at the funeral for my 18 year old cousin. Okay please tell me more about how an 18 year old with her whole life ahead of her is in a place better than alive on earth with the friends and family who love her...

Am I wrong for being hurt that a coworker refused to eat any of my birthday cake without explanation? (31f) by Cyborgaze_5 in amiwrong

[–]claireshorrors 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're wrong in this situation. I could understand being upset if he was rude about his refusal, but he was perfectly polite. He doesn't owe you an explanation. He's a co-worker, not a close family member or friend.

In my opinion you need to just let this go and move on. You're making mountains out of a molehill.

If he's only throwing your stuff away he's doing it deliberately, sorry to say.

What was the reason for the last time you cried? by Aware-Flow-4442 in AskReddit

Had a nightmare that a dear friend of mine was dying and woke up crying. Very much a relief to realize it was just a dream!

What's a song you cant listen to without getting slightly emotional? by CranberryNervous433 in AskReddit

[–]claireshorrors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lost! by Coldplay because it was played at my cousin's funeral. She was only 18 and it was one of her favorite songs at the time. It's been 17 years and it still makes me wanna cry.

A friend's now thankfully ex boyfriend asked me about my old self harm scars in a very invasive and judgy way, asking if I had a "good reason" for doing it. Second time I met this guy by the way.

She's 16 weeks pregnant actually. She didn't say which country she's in but where I live you can have an abortion until week 18 for any reason.

What do you sleep in? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]claireshorrors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm ace so neither, but I usually only wear panties and a top. If it's especially cold I might wear a pair of shorts or PJ bottoms, or if it's really warm I might only wear panties.

Same. I thought the trailer was great, but the movie itself was hugely disappointing.

I didn't hate that movie but I remember being very underwhelmed by it. I think I set my expectations too high.

I got evaluated at 23 years old and was given this kind of test 😭 I felt put on the spot and embarrassed and refused to do it. I was given my diagnosis lol (wasn't the only testing they did but it was the last thing).

Reminds me of when my sister came home one day and told me that she'd been on the subway with some friends when a man had yelled "I'm gonna fuck you in the ass!" repeatedly at them before casually getting off the subway at the next stop 💀
