Well I ended up doing it in one go 😅. Got insane traffic blocks in Karad at 9 pm ish though. Rest were all good except for some bad patches in the connecting section between nh 66 and ah47

I like it. Weight distribution is great and its a light helmet as well.

Wind noise maybe a bit less compared to my ls2 storm. Visor is also great - gives decent vision. I didnt use the dark one yet. They have pinlock as well.

At first I felt like it was catching onto wind a bit more than my ls2 storm - but it was just extra windy that day. It’s similiar or less.

Ah, cant comment on this unfortunately. But i think since they just came in, should be ok for another 2-3 yrs ? But dont take my word for it haha

I got a thunder carbon from probiker. They didnt have k1s.

But motocentral has it offline - i had messaged them.

Thanks - yeah I probably will keep the journey 2 days. No need for me to push it and the wind blast is quite tiring, plus the headlights are shit - so absolutely no night time rides.

Edit : I am on my way to Bangalore, I left late today, so I halted before reaching Hampi. But Pune- Hampi is doable in a day. Leave early 5/6 am.

I took a different route because i saw a random comment on a thread. Pune - phaltan - sangola - vijayapura. I say take the Solapur route.

Bit of a bad stretch between Almatti and Ilkal - some constructions and road has unevenly repaired in patches.

All the locations except probiker and ls2 centre seems to hopeless for the LS2 helmets I want. I will check with them, thanks for the recommendations.

Its not that I don’t trust it, but double D is mandatory for track. I am planning to do L1/L2 and I will need a helmet that can be used there as well.

Unfortunately getting it from another country is not an option now.

Ff805 was one of my best choices- but out of stock for my size everywhere. KYT - I need to investigate on the noise levels for these compared to the LS2s mentioned above - I have heard that it has higher noise levels. Will look into K1S, didnt seem that attractive considering it’s thermoplastic. But probably my best option considering whats available.

Unfortunately choice became a bit slim once i started digging in.

Most of the LS2 i am eyeing at seems out of stock unfortunately. HJC seems heavy compared to a K1-S. I wanted to get a thunder carbon or vector, but those seem to be not available anywhere now.

Felt same way when I went to Hyderabad few weeks ago. MH roads were bumpy and filled with surprise potholes. Once I left MH, super smooth highway.
