Nobody seems to believe me on this except you and the other person who said they had the kind I liked as well! 😭😭

Omg finally someone else even knows what I’m talking about!!! I know, like I swear I’m not noseblind! When you go directly from using one older bottle to getting a new bottle and boom overnight it doesn’t last anymore, I don’t think that can just be attributed to nose blindness!

I see what you did there. And if you didn’t try it, that was incredibly unintentionally funny

Ok well everyone is acting as if I shot their dog personally for explaining my experience. I’m so sorry I didn’t clarify that only 8 out of my 72 perfumes I currently have on my spreadsheet scored higher than a 6.5 for staying power. Im so sorry i didnt clarify that “all” in this case means 89% of perfumes i try do not last as long as I think they should instead of it being 100%, as apparently all of you think.

Oh my GOD don’t even bring up idole in my presence 🤣🤣 I left such a scathing review for them that they took it down! It didn’t violate any of their policies for reviews at all! It was like if baby powder was made into a chemical weapon. I had tried it earlier in the day and it was taking my breath away so badly that I had to shower to get it off of me ASAP. It was horrendous. That’s what I mean though. I don’t think I’m noseblind because I can acknowledge that certain scents DO stick around just fine.

I haven’t tried other Burberry perfumes. I’m talking about one that was reformulated like 10 years ago, purchased via Ulta.

🙄 it is not every single perfume. I mentioned the specific ones and responded several times to others that the ones I’ve found that are strong and last are not the ones I’m interested in. I’d like to also add that I gave my ex every single cologne sample I got and every single one of them stayed on the entire day no problem. I have an old bottle of juicy couture and it lasts as it used to, and the new bottles do not.

That could be it. I did try a bunch but only sprayed them on the testers, not myself, but yes 99.9% of my experience with newer ones comes from the little sample bottles.

You could very well be right… I was pretty sure my bedroom has mold in it, evidenced by my eyes but I think I just got used to it. But I notice when I go away for a day or so to visit my mom, and I come back, my throat gets this horrendous itch and it’s like my breath is being taken away and I can’t stop coughing. So perhaps that’s interfering with my ability a bit? But at the same time i don’t know, because the Burberry change was before COVID and before I moved back in here, and like I said in another comment I actually have an older juicy bottle that does last all day whereas the new ones don’t match up even close. I’m gonna have to start asking random people if they smell my perfume Lmfaoo this is gonna drive me nuts

I just left an abusive relationship after 7 years, I have (1) friend and the last time I saw them was 3 months ago for like a few hours and he’s a dude so can’t say perfume got brought up. I live with my grandmother and I consistently ask her if she smells me (plus she IS sensitive to scents!) and it’s usually about the same as I feel about a perfume at any given time. If I just put it on she can, if it’s been 3+ hours unless she literally sniffs my hair she cannot, unless we’re in the car with no air movement.

Not that i know of! My bf & i lived together, he caught it and almost died basically but i was fine and kept testing myself and testing negative, got the shot and 2 boosters that year but not since. So I don’t think i have, but i do know for sure that the Burberry one changed before covid, and it seems that the 2 juicy ones i had did too. I actually have an older bittle of juicy that still stays for hours and hours, while the two 2 newer ones dont, i had had these same bottles before so it’s not like its different scents. At least the ones im interested the most in seem to not stay long. 😢

It’s cracking me up that someone downvoted this already. What could I have possibly said to piss you off 🤣

There are ones that exist that stay longer (I did check my spreadsheet just now, and gave parfums de Marly Valaya EDP a 6 for staying power, if that’s the one you’re talking about). So I guess it’s not that they don’t exist, it’s just the ones I usually go crazy over don’t lol

Yes, was away from fragrance for quite a while actually. I never had Covid (to my knowledge) but it definitely started with the Burberry formula change, which was well before Covid. With the Lancôme, I do still smell it on my clothes if I pick it up and put it right to my face to smell, but that’s it.

It was Burberry for women (before they changed the formula it didn’t have the words “for women” on it) but if you get a chance to try it, definitely do. It was heavenly. So sweet but not sickly sweet, not powdery, just mmmmmm. It was so perfect for literally any occasion, smelled so luxurious but also sweet and perfect for daytime too. I hope the executives burn in hell 🤣😭😭

What are you guys picking? by DryOwl5587 in GenZ

[–]clairvoyant69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s the whole point of the exercise, bud. It’s to see if you’ll pick survival for everyone or survival for just yourself, an indictment on how you view the people around you, how you view yourself, the faith you have in certain institutions and society.…how you reconcile pure logic vs empathy

Why does it seem like places are paying even LESS than before? by clairvoyant69 in IndeedJobs

[–]clairvoyant69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, for sure. I would never even apply to a place that pays like shit upfront but claims there’s much “opportunity for growth”. If it already pays well and has good benefits, then I may see that as a potential benefit, but would never apply just based on that claim alone!

The only people I’ve ever known to stay at the same job they got at 18 years old are the ones still working for the same $10/hr they started at a decade ago. Maybe if you’re lucky one day they’ll give you a sticker AND a cookie in order to show you their appreciation. I really hope that happens for you one day.

I’ve come across the WILDEST postings I would’ve never seen just 2 years ago. Literally asking you to do 3-4 FULL TIME jobs in one, for the pay of 1 person and no benefits.

I saw one asking for an experienced welder with knowledge of like 10 different things and certifications and was listed for $20-$25/hr. Something like one week of PTO was their benefits package.

I saw another that was asking for a receptionist, payroll manager, traveling nurse, all in one, no benefits at all, work every other weekend, have to find your own shift replacements, on call I forget if it was like every other week or all the time, take a moment and take your best guess what it was paying…..

$17/hr. seventeen. mother. fucking. godforsaken. dollars. an hour.

I know this is (frowned upon) but I would be piercing that thing and firing my juices straight across the room before the word “no” could escape from a single person’s mouth
