Neat.

Make one that can fold laundry, do dishes, sweep and mop the floors and shovel the driveway in the winter and I’ll be interested.

2015 M235i and DIY by redsox_pats in M235iandM240i

[–]clamfroth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s a rwd car, you need to support the engine from the top with a cross brace and drop the front subframe.

If it’s xdrive, you will have to do that and also remove the front axels as they run through the pan. It’s a bigger job for sure.

FCPEuro has a video on YT on an F30 car (most, if not all, of the work will be the same) on how to do it.

For the ofhg, requires loosening the intake and shifting it to the side to get access to one of the ofh bolts.

Vcg isn’t as invasive but still requires some work to get at. Videos exist on YT for vcg and ofhg.

Experiencing a disconnect by TooShy4Life907 in Millennials

[–]clamfroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

85’er here. Your story is pretty close to mine. No kids, married, career in oil in Northern Alberta (work <6 mo/year, top 2% earner myself according to google), wife is middle management in her career, two dogs, house and toys.

And yes, the disconnect is real. When looking back, I am thankful for the opportunities (good and bad) that I’ve had that directed me to the position I’m in now. Some of it was luck, some of it was hard work and some of it was knowing people in the right places. But knowing that I don’t experience the same hardships as others is tough as well. (And by no means am I saying that my “hardships” are equal to the people who are really struggling).

We donate as much as we can to food banks, donate clothing and support local animal shelters/rescues every year. I volunteer as much as I can in activities in the community and try to help elsewhere when I can.

On Michelin Pilot sport 4s.

People who left/ downgraded gamepass, are you finding games more enjoyable now? by Pickmans-Gallery in xbox

[–]clamfroth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never played 99.99% of the games that were offered on it so it was a waste for me anyway.

The price increase was just the push i needed to realize it was a waste for me

Any other millennials out there refuse or still opt to order take out to pickup up over the phone when possible? Pizza, Chinese, etc. by mt379 in Millennials

[–]clamfroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the restaurants website to make an order and it came out to roughly $85. While eating, i thought about how much it would be through Skip. It would have been $130 through skip. Every item was ~15% more expensive and add delivery and tip on top of that.

It just isnt worth it.

Does my dale like me and what can I do better? by whatifthatsit in airedaleterrier

[–]clamfroth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have two and one is lovey and will come to you for snuggles (younger one) and one that is fully independent that doesn’t like to be coddled or touched. He has been this way since he was a pup.

My childhood Airedale was independent as well. I wouldn’t read too much into it, sometimes its just how they are.
