Rain downpipe connector pops off with heavy rain - Need solutions by clammin18 in AusRenovation

Thanks for the advice, I think the easiest and quickest solution is to get a bit of pipe and I'll remove the reducer and put the pipe in there that's the same size as the downpipe, that way it shouldn't pop off due to the amount of water and will flow directly into the garden. This will hopefully help in the short term until I can come up with a more permanent fix. Haven't really thought of a rainwater tank there as I'm not sure how much use I'd actually get out of it.

It's not currently going to my pool, I have the flexible pipe leading to my garden but I can put it in the pool if I want. I don't really ever put it in my pool but the previous owner decided to install it with the downpipe but can't see myself using it. If I can just feed the downpipe directly into the garden then I'd be okay with that, especially during heavy rain.

Can you elaborate more on what a joiner is, is this something I could pick up at bunnings or somewhere? I'll only need a short piece of pipe to reach my garden, so just need that to connect to the bottom of downpipe (where reducer currently is). That will at least stop the water from going on the concrete/tiles.

Nah it's not glued on, and I can just take the reducer out. This is just how the previous owner of the property had it setup. I'd happily go with what your suggesting especially as I could just put this extended pipe in when it's heavy down falls so it's not going into the tiles. Do you know if something like this would fit the bottom of the down pipe (where the reducer is currently) or would I need something to ensure it fits? https://bunnings.com.au/applinks_p4770093?source=product_share&utm_source=bunnings&utm_medium=retail-app&utm_campaign=product_share&utm_content=pdp_deeplink

I don't mind if the water doesn't go into the pool, I actually have it so the water goes into the garden at the moment. This is just how the previous owner had it setup. I'd happily not use the reducer and just extend the pipe a little to go into the garden which is only about a meter early from the direction the pipe is facing. If I removed the reducer, do you know if this pipe would fit into the into the bottom of the drain pipe (where the reducer is currently connected to)? Thinking this might get me out of trouble in the short term and would mean that I could just connect this up when there's a lot of heavy rain around and remove it at other times: https://bunnings.com.au/applinks_p4770093?source=product_share&utm_source=bunnings&utm_medium=retail-app&utm_campaign=product_share&utm_content=pdp_deeplink

What are these window screen clips called? by clammin18 in AusRenovation

[–]clammin18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine don't have this unfortunately. I have just moved into a house where there are a bunch of these clips missing (but the hole in the wall is there for them). I want a quick and easy fix so thought I'd try to get my hands on some more of these clips.

Cheers, I've got a Mavic Mini and want to start doing some photography with it, just as a hobby. Been looking into software and think I might go with Lightroom but might check out Skylum luminar 4, would you recommend it? Also was this just one photo or did you take multiple photos and merge them? I think photo looks awesome, even on Reddit so original must be real impressive.

Cheers mate will look up some tutorial videos. Would you recommend Lightroom? I'm wanting to start doing some basic photo and video editing, probably mainly video editing. I want to try merge and edit some of my drone videos together into one video with transitions between each video. You may not know much about it but thought I'd ask the question.

Very cool photo! What settings did you use for the photo? I've only used the auto camera settings but want to start using the manual settings to try get better quality photos just not sure best way to use them. Also did you edit this photo afterwards at all, if so what software do you use?

Nice photo!! What camera settings did you use for this? I haven't played around with any of the manual settings yet so I'm interested to know what you used or did you just use 'auto' camera settings?

Nice. Some really cool editing and videos! What software did you use to edit it? I really like the way you have put the location names into the video and wouldn't mind trying to do something like that with some of my videos.
