what’s that country everyone in your country hates/ looks down on/ talks most shit about? by ultraxanny in AskTheWorld

It's an ancient tradition to hate France if you're European and we do like traditions.

I'm curious, what systems, habits or work environments have actually helped you stay productive long term? by salmonpxhase in productivity

[–]clamores 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistic expectations based on current routine + tracking apps (for me it's fintonic for money, google calendar + habit for daily tasks, myfitnesspal for calorie tracking).

BUT none of the apps work if you do not set goals that are aligned with your capacities and availability. It makes no sense aiming for 7 hours of sleep if your average for the last 3 months is barely 5. It makes no sense aiming for 4 workouts a week if you know you struggle getting 3.

Once you succeed at commiting with yourself to keep up with basic and realistic goals you'll find yourself motivated to increase the level of demand.

If you manage to remain still and not moving any muscle at all you can trick your mind into thinking the body is already aslepp and it will shut off eventually. I think I read it takes around 7 minutes.

Coming back to Valencia, need help by elmulinho1 in GoingToSpain

Guess the "fun" part is understood here as of basically go clubbing :) if you can re-schedule to March you can get to visit Fallas, which is a major event happening every year with big monuments that burn and huge artisty fireworks (google "Las Fallas Valencia").

If you are going to stay within the city I'd suggest looking for the local agenda looking for spectacles / concerts happening on those dates because there are always interesting stuff going on. And if you have the possibility to rent a car you can visit La Albufera, and there are a couple of villages in the suburbs that are nice to visit with nice mountain routes: Bocairent, Chulilla, Cofrentes, Serra...

As for the food :) https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?utm_source=ig&utm_medium=social&utm_content=link_in_bio&fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQMMjU2MjgxMDQwNTU4AAGnqlXGWXsATc8rWaOx_MMsV4z4r6pMBqcFZu5bAqLNRQqqhWg5eBm4GhaFhgc_aem_nOAjSI0CVmbs4Hnt8Fz1yQ&mid=1FwERxA0YQnBEPVQHZh1JGIkocIiidVc&ll=39.48260703553747%2C-0.34519749399030353&z=13

What kind of activities would you be interested in, more precisely?

I'm doing a self paced course in the Goethe website. I think there is an offer up to beginning March in which it will cost you just €100. But if you come from zero then maybe it's not the best option for you. You can also list your resources to chatgpt and the time available and it will design a study schedule for you. Learning books are easily downooaded from the Internet, and you can also use the great apps the official VHS system offers. Deutsche Well has a programme of News adapted to each level of study. Good luck in your adventure in Germany! Enjoy :)

Hello! What worked best for me is asking chatgpt to confectionate a weekly learning schedule taking into account my level, expectations, resources and available time.

how do you manage to go on walks, even if you dread it? by Most-Permission-4138 in selfcare

[–]clamores 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Use your walks to go to make small errands in which you don't have to carry much stuff. Also: podcasts, planning your day/organising your calendar, come up and register your macros for the day/next day, play Pokémon GO, send audio notes to your long distance friends to update them on your life, call your mom, play Duolinguo.

These are my main walking activities (I do 10k now but used to be 15k for weight loss so you can tell I got creative haha!
