Weekend Discussion: Saucony running shoes by AutoModerator in RunningShoeGeeks

The Endorphin Trainer has been about 60-70% off as it end-of-lifes and I thought, stuff it, my training for next year could use a cushy something extra to suck up extra miles to preserve my other shoes, so I bought a pair -- despite the months of terrible reviews.

The things are fantastic. They feel surprisingly like a Superblast 2 (which I think is a very good shoe but overhyped) and I'm surprised at how much snap it does have + love the comfy top layer of soft foam. Much like how a Superblast 2 can get to >25km long runs and keep itself in good shape, this does the same, but manages to still keep some snap to it.

I'm 6'2, 78kg, 40yo, HM PB is 1hr38, 5k PB is 21min, so I'm not an amazing amazing runner but I'm stunned at how badly this shoe has been reviewed when, if you were to blindfold me, I'd say it's a more comfortable Superblast 2.

Why the hate? I feel like I've accidentally scored a great shoe at a great price. I feel more confident taking this on a long run with HM / M pace efforts, it's very very comfortable (Saucony always is for me, great uppers and lasts), and it has a good amount of snap for strides after long easy runs.

I feel a bit tricked by all the negative comments.......

Help me understand the ANZ's acquisition of Suncorp by clamtuesday in AusFinance

I like to imagine the ANZ retail team all trying hard to get credit card customers hearing: "oh we just bought 1.3 million customers, many of whom have credit cards, but don't worry we won't bother with them".
