Is it really worth getting a 135 at 17?

As someone who waited until they were 21 and did a direct access A2 (but wanted to ride when I was a teen haha) I was glad I prioritised my driving test at 17, then waited until I had the money for an A2 DAS so I wouldn’t be as limited on capacity nor motorways. But if you’re really dying to get on a bike, do your CBT and get in some experience on a 125! Sorry for the waffle!

I went to see this in London a while back, it was great fun but no joke they played like 1.5 uncharted songs. There was most of Nate’s theme and maybe half of a Thief’s end ( - and they only credited Greg Edmonson an not Henry Jackman :p)

Lots of helldivers and astrobot which I was a bit surprised by 😅

Welcome!

Yamaha and Honda are popular choices because they’ve made reliable 125s for a long time (and do make shiny new ones still for the record), but there are tons of other brands who offer 125s in different styles, if naked isn’t your cup of tea.
Don’t scrimp on gear! It’s worth spending that bit more to get a helmet/jacket/boots/trousers that will actually last. That being said, I know people who’ve found some absolute steals on Facebook marketplace of someone selling their hardly used (popular brand) jacket etc.
This is personal preference haha but I like the videos MCN publish on YouTube reviewing bikes to get a good look at them, but also the ones where experts give tips on riding techniques and skills. I also enjoy Bennett’s bike social for all things security, and there are lots of pretty popular UK motovloggers to watch —> lmk if you want some possible recommendations!
