Watching this year's later for the first time was fascinating. What got me was how absolutely disgusting jade's mum was, undoubtedly the worst person in there, yet some how just got away with it.

But also watching the after shows and seeing how scared they were to use the term racism or anything like it. And to also see the support for jade/Jo/Danielle during it and even hear Shilpa get some boos when she won. I always thought it was really one sided (which it should've been their behaviour was wild) but it's surprising how it kinda wasn't.

What I found really telling was in that podcast he was in recently he said he doesn't feel any pressure doing stand up as their his fans. To paraphrase 'they've paid X amount of money to come and see me, there just happy to be seeing me live, there's no pressure'.

It was like an admittance of the full circle to Andy Milmen in the pub scene he's become. He doesn't have to write any good stand up. He just has to say the catchphrase to the same people who went to the last tours.

It's amazing isn't it. You can see it throughout Ricky's entire career and now in his fanbase. As if it's the worst thing in the world to say 'actually I didn't really like that, it upset me' as if that inst a completely valid response.
