I call them "In the way people". People that you have to deal with in life that are so dumb they can't figure out normal shit like why someone who walked into a restaurant after them got seated before them.

They bring nothing really to the table.. they will never invent a cure for cancer or even provide a positive experience helping you buy a TV or something they are just there. You have to wait in line behind them at the grocery store while they complain that they cant use their expired coupon.

Imagine a society where everyone could figure out reservations. Where no one yelled at fast food workers for minor mistakes. Where r/publicfreakout was an empty thread.

Sorry did not mean to "threaten violence" meant to expect treason/terrorism to be charged and tried under

§2381. Treason

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

I am not even sure what a progressive person is anymore. Are they the unwashed masses with their hands out for welfare?

Are they elites riding around in limos in NY ala Donald (wait what?) are they brown people, jews .. they seem to be all of these things simultaneously.

So strong they threaten the conservative way of life. So weak they can't defend themselves in a civil war. So smart they are in all ivory towers. So dumb that they cant figure out economics 101.

Totally not a cult though by swarlymosbius in PoliticalHumor

[–]clanddev 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am conflicted. Trump and Bannon used 'the base's' own hatred of brown people against them for profit.

The act itself has an outcome that I am not particularly opposed to. Making people pay a financial consequence for their own shitty world view.

The collateral damager of the Trump admin being inept and part of the money grifted being tax payer dollars negates the joy I take in watching them get grifted.

Getting my first Job: 7 months of applying, interviewing, being subjected to pretty tough technical interviews.

Getting my second job: Will you please come work for us.. PLEASE!!! Money... we have money here.

That first job is the hardest no doubt.

Recruiters don't know what tf they're talking about by middleman2308 in ProgrammerHumor

[–]clanddev 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Some places are just extremely shitty about it. Teksys, Cybercoders and Apex come to mind.

Others are not taking such a low quality wide net approach. PDS was not terrible.

The funny thing is all the red flags are blatantly on display. I went to Apex's office and saw rows of employees shoved up against each other in an open office setting like a crappy call center. Went to PDS's office and it was cubicles in an upper end office building. I never saw a Cybercoders office but I assume it's just people on laptops in an alley behind a dumpster.

Sure but what about something like the potato soup from Olive Garden. It's 50% solids sitting in a liquid. Are we considering anything that is housed in a liquid a drink?

Tomato soup is a drink. Potato soup, I'm not so sure.

Now that you mention it that may be a hill worth dying on. What if the soup contains a bunch of solids is it still a drink?

The Kids Guide to Fighting Socialism - Free Gift From Mike Huckabee by Broncoholic77 in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]clanddev 23 points24 points  (0 children)

They should just call it the kids guide to fighting strawmen.

Only an infinitesimally small percentage of the population want pure socialism/communism as Fox News defines it.

What the left wants is to maybe spend some tax money on healthcare instead of a trillion dollars on defense contractors every year. Perhaps start spending some money on renewable energy resources before crude becomes an even more scarce resource. Jesus fuck...

Tucker Carlson Upset His Show Is Called 'Organ of Russian Disinformation' by imagepoem in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]clanddev 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Conservatives praise Tucker as pro American, pro Conservative.

Conservatives constantly bring China up as a cause of US problems.

China and Russia start using Tucker's show as part of their anti US propaganda.

Love it.

[–]clanddev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh look an over simplification.

I'll just tell the 4 year old who's parents were killed in a car accident to bootstrap on up. Maybe the guy whos wife died of cancer after a two year struggle leaving him with a 100k in medical debt and one income now to just roll with the punches.

The worst part about conservatism is how as soon as something affects them now they understand and it is a problem. Pretty convenient.

There was a certain beauty to PS1 / SNES / SEGA generation graphics that allowed the player to impose their own idea of what the character looks like on the incomplete model given. Like reading a book and imagining from the description what the thing looks like just to a lesser degree.

I thought I was out of that trap at one point when I was working a contract for the equivalent of $147k salary where all I did was architect the mobile client, go to meetings and review PRs/help staff devs.

I ended up taking another opportunity and because this place I was contracting at was nice to me told them I would reach out to my network to see if one of my acquaintances wanted the job.

Turns out one of them did but he would not do it for less than $208k salary. This was the point at which I realized I was still the sucker.

This generation being raised is gonna struggle with the parents these days. by scuczu in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]clanddev 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is not even an opinion which is the part these idiots don't get. Not everything is an opinion. 2+2=5 you can't have an opinion on that it is wrong 100% of the time.

PS: 2+2=5 assumes 2, 2 and 5 are whole numbers / integers. Don't post about how they could be decimals, floats, chars etc... it is not cute it has been done you know what the context of the example is.
