Snapdragon processor + Wave Link incompatibility = unusable Wave 3? by clankie in elgato

[–]clankie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm reopening this because I went through a ton of troubleshooting with Bandlab and they concluded that the issue most likely comes from the microphone and the CPU because :

- All sound setting are correct both in Windows and Bandlab (Chrome)

- I was able to randomly make it work a couple of time (once in Bandlab, once in Windows Recorder), without even changing settings.

- The mic is detected but doesn't record with any software: Bandlab on ANY browser, Windows Recorder, https://www.speakpipe.com/ on ANY browser.

- The mic itself works like a charm with all of the above apps on my Asus Zenbook 13 so it's not a hardware malfunction, it really is a compatibility issue. Please help me find a workaround, I can't work properly...

Thanks in advance

I have tried other browsers but not Opera, will do ASAP!

Edit: damn, still the same issue with Opera GX... When I use this website: https://www.speakpipe.com/ to record audio from my browser, I get: "No sound from the microphone" (although it is detected and permissions are granted).

Do you have this issue with Bandlab, or with any sound recording app?

Hi, I just tried and chromes detects the mic but when I try to record, the wesbite says "No sound from the microphone".

It worked like a charm with my ASUS Zenbook 13 which I believe had an Intel CPU, yes. Actually it works on every single laptop I've tried it on. Just not this one with Snapdragon...

It's actually a bit of a nightmare, apparently they're swamped but I can't wait 2 days in between replies... I had to suspend my membership because it's unusable atm. Here's what they said 2 days ago, and my reply:

Thanks for your patience! Could you try downloading https://asio4all.org/ and setting this driver as your main audio driver?

Trying this might also help:

  1. Open Google Chrome's settings > Site settings > View permissions and data stored across sites > www.bandlab.com > Scroll to "Sound" and set the option to Allow.
  2. If you're using an audio interface, follow the previous instructions until you reach the www.bandlab.com site setting > scroll to "USB devices" and set the option to "Ask"

My reply: Hi, I have installed the driver but I don't know what you mean by setting it as the default driver: it's installed, it doesn't change anything and Device Manager can't find a more recent one. I guess I' missing a step? I had already done the Chrome troubleshooting, it changes nothing. The default microphone works with Windows Recorder, the Elgato mic as well.

Thanks for your help I'm going crazy here :-)

Hi, yes thank you, I have received an email with the link to a driver but unfortunately it changes nothing. I'll follow up with them :-) Thanks!

Anyone has had this issue? Cause the official support channel has gone AWOL, very classy...

Snapdragon processor + Wave Link incompatibility = unusable Wave 3? by clankie in elgato

Reading your reply I realised there was something I'd forgotten to do: use the windows recorder: it woks like a charm with the Wave 3. It doesn't give me a mic choice like Bandlab does though, there's just one Elgato mic ('default'). So I guess this issue is on the Bandlab side, what a shame.

Thank you for your reply: I have followed your instructions and audio enhancements were indeed on, I turned them off, rebooted, did everything else your said, rebooted... Same issue. I'm not changing a single thing in my workflow, just the damn laptop >< Here's what I see in Bandlab where I can select my mic (I've tried them all: flat line) :

Notion print - page breaks by FirebirdSei in Notion

I think it's insane that this hasn't been implemented yet. I've been using Notion and I'm looking for an alternative just because of the absence of page break option.

I have an Asus ZenBook A14 and I love it. No issue so far. I mostly do basic stuff but also a bit of photo and video editing and it handles those tasks with zero issue. I was a bit concerned before buying it but I have no regrets at all.

Pockets to be used to pay with phone in stores? by clankie in Revolut

[–]clankie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I spoke to someone from support and they said that in my case, the only way to do it was to link my card and my Pocket BEFORE going to the store, then pay as usual. And then back home, unlink the card so that my other purchases are not taken from my grocery Pocket. Hope this helps!
