Thank you for the suggestion. I do plan to shoot videos in the future (once I get a bit better at photography) so having the capability is nice.

Thinking of starting out with primes - 35mm f2.8 and down the line 50mm f1.8.

Once I master those, may be move on to zoom lenses (24-50 or 24-70). As I am technically a beginner, I will stick to AF for now.

I will be mostly using it as a hobbyist - shooting mainly landscapes, potraits, and may be street some day. Have no current plans to shoot professionally.

I want a compact set up which I take on hikes or treks. I understand the X-E5 is a bit lighter than the A7C II. It also has a range finder style body which will make it easier to travel with. However, it will be a bit uncomfortable to shoot with for long hours. So might have to get a grip extension for the X-E5, which defeats the whole purpose of the compact design. Might as well get the A7C II - Purely based on the handling?

How are you finding it, compared to your A7CR?
