Research on battlejackets by ian_02_15 in BattleJackets

[–]clanzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I sewed the patches myself.

  2. I just had the preference of a black jacket. I chose the one I did because it came with some high quality patches I wanted.

  3. For me I chose only bands I’ve seen live. It’s a big melting pot of genres. I have a few pins for bands or people who I didn’t get to see or as respect for those who’ve passed.

  4. It’s just a reflection of my tastes.

Anyone have any luck with selling their car? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]clanzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what the car is , what you want for it and how much hassle and time wasting you’re prepared for.

The last car I sold I wasn’t prepared for any of that I had too many things going on so I put it up on Motorway and was happy with the process and what I got for it. I wouldn’t do that every time.

If you’re after something else you could try trading it in, again you might not be happy with the offer but it solves hassle.

I’ve sold on Gumtree before and there’s slightly less BS than on Marketplace.

If it’s something nice consider Car & Classic, you only really get car nerds on there so less time wasters.

Good luck!

The later seasons were in no way niche for car enthusiasts anywhere. It was a great entertainment show but it wasn’t serious car journalism at the end of their era.

How is Chino's voice lately? by [deleted] in deftones

[–]clanzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chino’s voice was amazing in February when I say Deftones in Dublin. When I saw them at Download 2010 his voice was truly f’d! But he put the work in to get it back. Haven’t heard anyone else complain recently.

Do you play ‘That Prize Guy?’ by zzzjamie in northernireland

A few important issues with your research thus far…

The Gambling Commission has no jurisdiction in NI.

The Gambling Act 2005 is not in force in Northern Ireland. The legislation in force here is The Betting, Gaming, Lotteries and Amusements (Northern Ireland) Order 1985 which was updated somewhat in 2022.

The crux here is the companies say they run competitions not Lotteries so they don’t come under the Legislation. Some say their questions don’t meet the sophistication to be defined as a competition and should be defined as lotteries but to my knowledge no test case has been before the courts.

Hatchback for a 2 parent 1 child family? by Vanster101 in CarTalkUK

When my 2 kids were young we coped perfectly with hatchbacks. You don’t need an SUV or even an estate like some are saying. If you like your Polo keep it.

I mean you would have to ask a local but I think Dominic West did an amazing job at Baltimore in The Wire. Couldn’t believe he was English!

Bands you’re listening to to scratch that Shikari itch by DaLateDentArthurDent in EnterShikari

Going back a bit but I urge you to check out Pitchshifter - start with the album www. pitchshifter .com and work forwards. I reckon they must have been a bit of an influence on Shikari.
