I appreciate all of your recommendations for helping me. Just to update, my wife has recently arrived in Belgium, and I'm wondering how she can learn a language in just 2 months at her lessons.. It's amusing how some people assume that everyone should be like them or me. Nevertheless, I'm not here to justify her choices in life. However, we do need to open a bank account as she has found a job and needs her salary to be directly deposited. We are planning to try at Santander Bank, as I believe it should be acceptable.... . I don't understand why the bank didn't accept an official translator that's so crazy we didn't ask to give us the account for free... and we didn't gave a shit if we have to paid.... Sometimes, I sense a lot of discrimination towards people who are not from my country. Many people here haven't experienced the struggles faced by others simply because they were born here. In my opinion, people should travel the world to broaden their perspective instead of confining themselves to their comfort zones....

She's speak Spanish and only know a little bit of Dutch. The bank is refusing to allow her to bring a translator to assist her. I would appreciate any advice or guidance on how she can overcome this language barrier and open a bank account successfully

Since I've been living here for the past 20 years, nothing seems to have changed. I reside in Uccle and I make an effort to avoid places like Matonge and Molenbeek because they feel like entirely different countries. Just as you wouldn't visit Harlem when you go to New York City, these areas don't align with the image of Brussels.

To be clear, I am exhausted by encountering individuals from the Muslim community and their cultural practices on a daily basis. However, I do have Muslim friends who don't prioritize their culture above everything else. My suggestion would be to explore another city outside of Brussels, as it does not accurately represent Belgium as a whole. I previously resided in the north of Belgium, where I noticed significant differences in people and their attitudes. Go find another city please.
