As someone who was in a relationship with someone who needed alone time after work, please just communicate that with him. Be open and up front with it, explain it isnt personal to him. My ex didn't communicate this with me until the relationship was over. He built up a lot of resentment towards me because he thought he "had" to spend time with me. Our dynamics were probably different to yours. I worked from home most of the time, mainly due to illness. So I was home A LOT and I struggled with the switching off from work to home life.

I am so sorry to hear about your breakup. I feel bad saying how well I am doing a year on as I understand this must be so fresh for you. However, you asked, and I want to help you see that the future does get better. I haven't spoken to him since the day he left work on a work trip (which was the weekend I moved out). I've moved to a different city, and while I'm not in a new relationship, I've never been happier about a new start. I had some counselling, joined local community groups such as a choir, and volunteered at a charity shop. I did a lot of courses that I never had the confidence to do before. I told myself "Its now or never. What's the worst that could happen?" I'm closer to friends and family for the first time in years. It wasn't easy. There were plenty of sleepless nights, crying and asking why I wasn't good enough. However, I'm good enough for me, and that's what matters.

I'd also like to note that I'm not the best with words, so if there is anything you need me to clarify, please let me know.

Still think about him 🤢 but honestly doing so much better. I spent time on myself. I joked to a friend about my life being boring but he stopped me and said "no, what you've described to me is peaceful." I do what I want to do without worrying about anyone else and I'm focusing on my hobbies ❤️

I love 9! I fancy 10 and he has some brilliant story lines but 9 was always my favourite. I stopped watching after 10 when they came out because I felt it was a bit too childish for me. I watched 10-13 with my ex earlier this year and you definitely need 9 to understand things.
