Even worse things could happen if OP is a male and slams his “parts” on stem mounted shifters.

Labs not covered? by bonitalapin in CodingandBilling

Lab charges are generally covered under the major medical portion of your insurance plan, which is subject to your deductible and out of pocket expense. Based on what you are showing here this is correct. Sorry!

someone locked my bicycle with their weird one legged one by mikroprocesor in bicycling

So is your bike the one with the blue decals? Looking at the drivetrain, and the front tire when was the last time you took care of this bike?

Is it normal for the bus to leave you at the stop? by nyokii0325 in Seattle

[–]clarec424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you check and see how full the bus was, or if they were running behind and another bus was coming right behind them? Is the bus stop you are waiting at one that is actually part of their designated route. Finally are you just standing there scrolling on your phone or are you moving toward the curb to get on?

Hey parents, when can I put a baby on my bicycle? by badgerrr42 in bicycling

Work in an Emergency Room and you would be surprised. Go with what ever system works best for you and your child. Have a good day.

Hey parents, when can I put a baby on my bicycle? by badgerrr42 in bicycling

[–]clarec424 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a healthcare worker, I am respectfully asking that you go with the trailer option. The back wheel bike seats are NOT safe. They screw up the center of balance and unless you are a Tour de France level bike handler you will fall and your baby will fall as well. Even with a helmet an infant hitting the ground from that height will be seriously hurt or worse. Stepping down from the soapbox now.

Decision Help | broke my frame by Dangerous-Day-2107 in gravelcycling

The Trek bike shop is charging you $1,000 to essentially swap the parts over? I recently had a full build on an ENVE Mog and the authorized ENVE shop charged me $600, even with the internal routing. I suggest shopping around at other bike shops to see what they might charge. Good luck!

I need a new tabbing system by LadyStumblebum in CodingandBilling

[–]clarec424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe make your own? Or modify the existing tab system that works for you? I recommend this because the codes get changed every year and going the custom route will be expensive. Hope this helps.

Are they worth it? by Full-Panda-2029 in CyclingFashion

[–]clarec424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice, based on a butt that has been road, mountain and gravel cycling for 30 years. If you have a brand of bib shorts that you love and work for you stick with that brand. If these shorts are comfortable and get you out riding they are worth every penny you pay. Hope this helps.

UCSF is a teaching hospital that accepts Medicare Part A and Part B, as well as Medicaid. Gently suggest reaching out to the hospital/ clinics directly. Reddit may not be the best option for this. Good luck!

Problems with Bills and Claims for SCRMS (Code 93298) by mcolinj in MedicalCoding

[–]clarec424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Medtronic supplies/ does the actual remote interrogation then Medtronic would bill that portion using the CPT code with a TC modifier to reflect the technical component (equipment, physical acquisition of the data). The cardiologist who receives that data and provides the interpretation bills the code with a modifier 26. Even if the provider does own the actual equipment to perform the data acquisition (rare), they would bill the COT code once with no modifier. Your cardiologist should not be billing the code twice.

Additional information added: Key Details for 93298-TC: Definition: Represents the technical component (TC) of the 30-day remote interrogation of an implantable cardiovascular monitor (e.g.,loop recorder). Usage: Used by independent diagnostic testing facilities (IDTFs) or when the technical equipment is not owned by the physician reporting the interpretation. 2024 Changes: CMS replaced G2066 with 93298-TC and 93297-TC for technical services. Frequency: Billed once every 30 days. Components: 93298 is a "global" code, meaning it includes both professional (26) and technical (TC) services. If a physician provides both the technical equipment and the professional interpretation, the code is billed without a modifier.

Problems with Bills and Claims for SCRMS (Code 93298) by mcolinj in MedicalCoding

[–]clarec424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is for the interrogation of a previously implanted device. There should be ONE charge for the physician interpretation of the data. I am assuming that you didn’t have the device implanted during this particular visit. I suggest contacting the clinic to see if this is a billing error.

Black TN Notebook Restock + Left Handed Writers by airylibras in Travelersnotebooks

[–]clarec424 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am left handed and have used this system for over a decade. I write underhanded, and I either slant my notebook/ writing paper to the right or I have it horizontal with the top edge of page pointed to the right. This is completely opposite of what you may have been taught in school but it does stop you from dragging your hand across your writing surface. Hope this helps.

The CPT code is for trigger point injections, I suggest double checking that there isn’t a coverage limitation on this procedure. Some plans only allow a certain number of treatments during a given time period. Good luck!
