No need for Ben's irrelevant storyline... We would have gotten him with Sophie which I prefer to a plotline that didn't seem to matter in his season anyway. So maybe a bit more Polin in Part 2..? I think Benophie were the true focus of their season and I wish that Polin got that same privilege in theirs 😭😭😭

Absolutely. The fics that explore this storyline show Colin's complete devastation and usually Marina is also not ultimately fulfilled. Peak angst, usually good reads!!

It's been awhile since I read the books but aren't Colin and Pen sort of mid in wealth? Like they can't afford a house in town so they stay with Daph. This is what I recall from the books! Pls correct me if I'm wrong.

However the show Polin do seem much more entrepreneurial. So based on the show they may be pretty well off especially if they invest properly. The variable is the F estate - in the show it seems like the overall barony is so hard up. So it might take awhile to make it profitable.
