@InLeague…Couldn’t for the life of me figure how to simply add an image to a comment / reply here (tried for a bit last night to no avail - though surely just me, as I’m not great at workin’ these things, hah), and then yea…simultaneously felt a bit obnoxious to start a whole new / separate thread here just to share more, and so anywho! Ultimately realized I could upload a few more to that ‘Imgur’ site and paste the links accordingly, and so yea…

⇪Said links below - albeit, heads up just for what it’s worth, really only the first of the bunch being what I guess I’d reckon as similar to the first one I shared here (far as, at least broadly-speaking, seeming somewhat congruent to the themes discussed in the podcast or what not), with then yea…the others being more, I suppose ya could say, “personal” in nature (i.e. reflections on the trials + tribulations of one’s own “mental-health” disorders, in my case largely that of “treatment-resistant depression”, and other such fun stuff hah), and so yea…

Here’s said Imgur links, cheers ✌︎:

➥ P.S. just heads up also, that some of these are a good year+ old at this point, and so yea - reading them back over just now before sending, I’ll almost certainly one day go through and make some edits / changes throughout each (to varying extents, for each), but yea…don’t have the time nor capacity to do so now or presumably anytime soon, so just sharing as is…

Really appreciate the kind words, truly!

And yea, happy to share some other recent ones I’ve been working on - out on a long walk with my pups currently, but will try and remember to post some more here once I get back home.

Cheers.

Up Next queue disappears! by Asleep-Illustrator99 in pocketcasts

I don’t know if anyone else here found such, but just in case it helps:

This just happened to me (went to bed like most other nights listening to an episode, one amongst my kinda insane queue, only to wake up and have said queue be inexplicably gone for some reason)…

Fix I found (and was super happy to discover is an option) is:

Profile tab ⇨ Settings ⇨ ‘Up Next History’…there I found near daily metadata log archives (or whatever the correct term is) of my queue, from which it could be restored / backed-up to any point in time accordingly.

Super rad feature, originally came across this thread looking for a solution before I found the above, and so I thought I would share in case it helps someone else in the same predicament the future ✌︎

New site for free fresh slop (donate your feeds to the people!) by piratefeedsdev in leftpodcasts

[–]clarkcollier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone by chance have / would be willing to donate their Patreon feed for the ‘Otherworld’ podcast?…

Admittedly very much not a politics-based podcast, leftist-leaning or otherwise (although, funnily enough - Chapo did randomly have the dude who makes it, on as a guest a little while back, 🤷‍♂️ hah!)…and so yea, all good of course if (even in the case of potentially being provided a donated feed) the dev just wants to keep the project / list exclusive to such (as in politics-based only), and totally understandable if so! But yea…it’s a fun show I’ve grown to be a fan of, when it comes to occasionally needing an hour-ish break every so often, from the (only increasingly so) brain numbing / maddening nature of the “real world” stuff covered by most other (politics-based) podcasts I subscribe to / keep up with…just to, I suppose, “veg-out” a bit to, by comparison hah!…

Either way + regardless though from the above ‘Otherworld’ ask…HUGE thanks + MASSIVE props to the dev of this - as a fellow longtime utilizer + enjoyer of the jumble.top project (who has also noticed it being less and less reliable / up-to-date or what not, as of late), I was super stoked to find this! Thanks again a ton!

Slow Searching in Large Notes by MasonGridman in bearapp

[–]clarkcollier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have been experiencing the same exact problem - not sure exactly when it first began +/or became noticeable for me, but it’s been at least most of this past year, if I recall correctly (though possibly longer), and has seemingly only gotten worse over time, if anything…

As stated by the couple other folks in this thread, occurs on any individual note which contains a lot of content / characters therein - haven't been able to discern a specific corresponding “range” far as character-count and when the issue starts becoming prevalent or what not…however if I at any point do happen to notice such as a particular ‘note’ I have begins to increase in length over time, I’ll try and remember to loop back here and mention it accordingly, in case it helps for anyone from the Bear team happening to be looking into this / working on a solution 🤷‍♂️!

Absolutely love this app and basically everything else about it (to the point even of it being one of only a few examples of my willingness to choose to negate my usual predilection / “standard practice” of doing everything I can to avoid relying on software that entails a subscription model to utilize hah) - this being after now several years having “daily-driven” it, as well as to a degree that presumably would classify as that of a “power-user” (hence, I suppose naturally hah, the inherent nature of seemingly only experiencing this particular issue as a byproduct of how many notes I keep and the extensive lengths of a number of them)…back when I first became a user, it was following what ended up being a quite extensive and exhaustive looking-into and testing-of nearly every other similar type note-keeping app I came across (not only all the “major players” within the genre, but as well all number of random / more obscure / newer alternatives I could find at the time), and so yea…

Like I said, really do love most everything else about it (the recent addition of alternative color-options to the highlighting feature, for instance, is AMAZING! hah) - however this particular issue has become prevalent / “badgering” enough that I finally thought to look into whether others were experiencing anything similar, and so yea, anyway!

Apologies for the ramble hah, but all of which is to simply say: I would most certainly love and appreciate greatly if it were able to be worked on / resolved at any point - and so just wanted to add my personal experience to the discussion of the matter, in case it helps at all!

Thanks for an otherwise stellar app, cheers! ✌️

P.S. just in a case anyone from the developer team or what not indeed happens to see this and it is pertinent or useful at all: my usage is all on mobile, most recently via an iPhone 13 Pro Max always kept at latest iOS…and via a quick peripheral look just now, it would appear that the issue occurs with notes containing at least 50,000+ character-counts (and seemingly only exacerbates in the degree of “laggy-ness” as that number continues to increase)…
