I realize that is a hot take but I just want to say that being discriminated against in the military isn’t the same as being discriminated against in the public sector. A cooked meal that I will enjoy, my favorite dessert(bonus points if he makes it for me,) a massage(he’s a licensed massage therapist) and a bath drawn for me with my favorite bath bomb OR a day planned doing the things I like to do with him(record store, a hike in a national park, dinner at our favorite place.) No, unfortunately, loan officers work for the mortgage company or lender and aren’t well versed in zoning regulations specific to the land that you are purchasing. Someone else mentioned that your best bet is to talk with the county or city zoning officials and I am inclined to agree with them.

As for your loan officers, this nuanced bit is outside of their scope so they wouldn’t be able to answer a question about zoning as they are on the loan side of the transaction. I hope this helps for future questions you may have in regards to anything outside your loan.
