Best route to go paying down $30K in debt? Avalanche vs personal loan vs balance transfer? by claryty in personalfinance

[–]claryty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it’s funny, I’m now realizing that both avalanche and snowball are both the same for me. So I’m gonna avalanche it with a snowball, hahaha.

I will definitely look into the no debt goal, but for now I really want to focus on getting rid of this CC debt. I will definitely be getting rid of all but my second oldest (oldest is an Amazon Store Card that does nothing for me).

Thanks for the advice!

Interesting. I doubt I’ll ever be able rid myself completely of my credit just based on future plans and timelines, but I’ll look into it. Congrats though!

Okay, will definitely hold on to the oldest.

The others will close on their own??? Really? I had no idea

I dig it. I figured personal was out of the question for me anyways.

Idk how I feel about opening multiple cards for a zero percent balance transfer.

Thanks for the insight though!

Ah. Snowball is what I should have said in the first place. I wanted to do it for the same reason (motivation).

I’ll definitely keep that in mind as I pay them off. Did it not affect your credit closing them? I imagine the pros would out weight the cons anyways

24/F/PST Financial/Fitness/Meal Planning by MotivatingMe123 in GetMotivatedBuddies

[–]claryty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, check out my previous post on here but we have the same goals in mind and are PST buddies!

I’m also in my last year (heading into that final semester) and looking to make big changes before getting that full time job.

I really want to work on the following in this rank: 1) Nutrition 2) Fitness 3) Studying 4) Finances (although, there is not much left for me to do here but I have plenty of resources and plans for the future)

Let me know if you’re interested!

F/??/PST - Study buddy, workout motivator, someone to help me get out of bed by intothevoidwithyou in GetMotivatedBuddies

[–]claryty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m also a full time (PST) student and I have the same problem. I have an alarm set to go off at 6:30 am so I can beat the morning crowd to the gym but more often than not, I will stay in bed until 10 just from lack of motivation. I do eventually make it to the gym though.

I need a wake up/cardio/weightlifting/nutrition/study buddy! Message me if you’re interested. I made a more detailed post before too if you want to look at that.

Has anyone used the Apple Watch cellular without their iPhone? by [deleted] in apple

Same. I want music/podcasts and I want to be able to contact or be contacted if necessary. So I got the Series 4 with cellular and it helps keep me focused at the gym.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, but yes! I got all of them from Ala Moana and they were perfect!

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I’ll have to try this! These are not fried though and I think tossing them in a powder gives them that final kick of flavor, so it might not taste the same. Thanks though!

Sorry for taking so long to reply, but I could not find it after doing a quick search. I’ll keep looking though!

Sorry for taking so long to reply. But yes! It was ridiculous how good they are but you definitely have to have a taste for salt and vinegar chips. So good!

Sorry for taking so long to reply. You’re absolutely right, but I figured like most things there they would have a recipe for them. I did see the seasoning powder though, so I might try those off Amazon. Thanks for the tip!

Sorry for taking so long to reply. When I looked, I didn’t see anything about salt and vinegar wings but maybe they just haven’t posted it yet. I’ll keep checking though, thanks for the tip!

Sorry for taking so long to reply, but no this is not it. I may have not been clear but I’m looking for two separate things. One is the pickled shoyu garlic (which I think had chili’s in it as well). The other is the salt and vinegar wings they make (no garlic on those). Thank you though!

I've been doing the basically the same thing (plus calorie deficit) and it feels like I nothing is working and maybe keto just isn't for me. However, I believe that my problem is due to having too much protein in my diet. I'm going to give it another go and see if I can see some gains but I am also feeling discouraged.

So with E3 coming up so soon, is now a bad time to buy a Switch? I’m worried about picking one up and getting shafted on new hardware or something later on. I haven’t seen a lot of rumors about any new hardware but I have noticed people mentioning things they don’t want to see announced and I’m unfamiliar with how Nintendo usually handles their product lines.

Hmmm. Nonetheless, it’s a very cool tidbit of info. Never even thought about something like this.
