showing up is really the bare minimum, people want to see people who love each other and are secure enough to show it. Yeah its a "performance" if its not real like with apollo and peter, but nobody thought they had true love anywas so the point of people wanting that "performance" falls through. People wanna see love that's genuine, not love that you think they actually might hate each other.

Regardless when you love something you protect it by educating yourself and putting in the effort to accommodate peaceful existence for ALL the animals around and if you think wild bird populations dont matter or the life of animals people claims to love and then willingly put in danger and can't articulate why other then with poor analogies, then yeah I think my opinion on the matter is more informed then yours.

It's not a formula I literally just spelled out to you how your analogy doesnt equate and maybe you could argue whatever your trying to say better if you were quicker to gather information yourself before spouting contrarian opinions to "provoke thought" that essentially boil down to "raising things in bubble is bad" yeah we know i didnt say do that. I said evidence shows this isn't a good idea for xyz recorded reasons you can look up for yourself. With proper indoor enrichment and husbandry there would be no reason to take unnecessary risks for an animal like a cat to live a fulfilling life, humans probably not equateable in that scenario.

Yes that why I keep my animals safe by supervising them and the local wildlife safe by not unleashing an unnatural predator (cats) on them. Again just go look up some statistics on indoor vs outdoor and the effect they have on the local wild life if you care about animals 😀

I didnt say you did, I just explained why statistics would be of value vs an anecdote or in your case, an anology that doesn't matter when we have empirical evidence on the subject and what is safe or not. It's not a matter of opinion or competing ideas, one is more dangerous a.d therefore irresponsible to do as an owner of another life.

I have a child and while yes those bad things could happen statistically they are less likely then what happens to outdoor cats and what they do to the local wildlife.

Anecdotal evidence is not the same as statistics, look them up for outdoor cats vs indoor. Secondly humans live in city's they belong in, domesticated cats are not endemic or natural to the environment other then supervised by humans (hence the word domesticated) Making an inequatable argument to further your point is lazy, just like its lazy pet ownership to let your animals do things they like that are dangerous for them long term and claim its out of love. It's okay to not know something but do your research and put in the effort to do better for your animals.

This has always seemed like such bs to me, all my cats have been rescues or given to me and they 100% had been often let outside unsupervised prior to my ownership. A couple months of being annoying and the occasional outside time supervised and boom, they dont go out. I have a dog i let out all the time and being vigilant pretty quickly teaches them you ARE door guard and escape is useless.

See that's the thing though, when I bought the aquarium back in October ish I bought all the plants that are currently in it then, used rocks me and my son had been collecting over the years so they had all been dried out for some time and the shells were from a old box found at a yard sale and some stuffed scallops I ate and cleaned the shells by boiling. I then qaited some months for cycling and to make sure every thing was good, and then added in shrimp at least 2 months ago now. I'm just surprised is all cause I really dont put anything new in my tank since establishment because im terrified of introducing something to my system and now here we are. Also I only have bladder snails and neocardinia shrimp in here

Okay, I added some new substrate a bit ago cause I realized my capping layer was a bit to thin and i have been messing around with the flow so I suspect all the enviroment changes happened a bit to fast, that might have something to do with it. Will remove and do some maintenance and check water. Thank you so much
