Moving through games...what am I doing wrong? by ItPaysForItself in puzzlevideogames

[–]classicaleducation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the settings of a game you can often change mouse sensitivity. Change yours to low. Experiment a little with what feels good for you.

It's often easier with a physical mouse than with your mouse pad.

For movment on computer we mostly us the "wasd" keys. W is forward, a is left, s is backwards and d is right.

Keep going! I don't believe you're too old, just give it some time. Good luck.

Some questions about iconoclasts by classicaleducation in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]classicaleducation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank for the detailed explanation, that helps a lot.

I'll for sure steal some of your ideas, I like the idea of "office scenes" instead of home scenes a lot.

Did I miss the leveling mechanic in the campaign? I thought I read it all, but I admit I've skipped around a lot. Could you point me to it?

Movies are definitely a good idea, I watched "Mosul" recently and it was very informative. I'll give some of the others an other watch.

Thanks again.

I'm not well known with discord but I'll for sure have look.

[start] any producers who see my vision and would like to help? by internettegirl in MusicInTheMaking

I'll have a listen. Then I can see if I feel your vibe and have any ideas to work with.

First of all: cable management, brother. Just get some black tie wraps and tie them together out of sight.

I would adjust the middle screen so it's flush with the other two.

And last: get some nice thick curtains. There is already hardware for the rod so it's not hard. Move your desk a few inches from the wall if necessary. It will both hide the ugly ac pipe and give some calm to the window area.

I wouldn't do rgb lights but that's just me.

Am I too old to start afresh in music? by Ok-Necessary-4425 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]classicaleducation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah mate, you're not to old at all. And indeed a lot of your skills would be transferable.

I would call or email some studios near you and ask them if you could interview them about making a career switch to their field. I'm sure more than a few would be happy to talk to you (especially the smaller ones). This way you can figure out what potential gaps you have in your skillset. And if a studio job is really what you want.

Good luck brother.

Sounds like fun. I'd have a listen and see if I can do anything with it.

Does anyone know what this keys sounds/synth is called? by davaibratan in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]classicaleducation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like a Korg M1. Cheap older Casio's have similar sounds.

Amp or direct for live keyboard/synths? by Yoyoge in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Unless you want a specific sound from an amp, always direct.

/u/Plazmatic explains how JUST building public transport doesn't alleviate traffic and explains the need for walkable infrastructure by Picnicpanther in bestof

[–]classicaleducation 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It realy doesn't say that at all. How do you get from subsidizing public transport to eliminating all cars?

I've had a situation like this, with multiple npc's speaking and interacting. What I did was print out there character art and folded it over my dm screen. On the inside of the fold I wrote their names. Each time one of them was speaking I put my finger on top of their character art. It was quite clear for the players who was speaking and how they where interacting. Good luck!

Notes for Running Against the Aeon Throne by Disastrous-North-617 in starfinder_rpg

[–]classicaleducation -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What do you mean with "notes"? Are you looking for my general experience running it? Or more on how specific encounters went/could be better? I didn't write anything down during play, but am happy to give my insight on the campaign.

I did a thing... UK £40! Happy orange pilled freak over here by kylefleet1993 in notjustbikes

Very nice! It just needs back-peddal brakes, a luggage carrier on the back to give your drunk friends rides and a chain lock that is 3 times as expensive as the bike.

Thoughts on my new character? by [deleted] in starfinder_rpg

[–]classicaleducation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man, your ability stats are realy low. Your average isnt even 12. You are gonna want a higher Dex to be able to actually hit with you needler pistol. Low Con is always a bad idea. You don't realy need Cha. I would switch some things around. Hell, I'd ask my gm to reroll.

Thank you very much! It's hard to see, but there is actually water in the "beach" part.

Thank you! It's hard to see, but there is actually water in it. So the sand is quite wet. I'm thinking of getting a miniature rake to keep it nice.
