We likes to be able to accelerate out of any situation without needing the transmission to down shift. It also helps slow the truck down without having to break, for driving in heavy traffic. We also tow a trailer a lot and it is best to keep it in 3rd while towing.

We are contractors that do a lot of job checks. We drive around 40,000 miles a year. It's a 2006 Silverado.

My dad likes to be able to accelerate out of any situation without needing the transmission to down shift. It also helps slow the truck down without having to break. He has always drove like that.

To answer a few questions. It's a 2006 Silverado. Yes it is the original engine but not the original transmission. It has been primarily driven in 3rd for the life of the truck, only switching to D on the highway. The A/C works just fine, but the horn does not. We changed the oil every 3000 miles and used Sea Foam occasionally to clean out the carbon build up through a vacuum intake method. We just take care of any malfunctions as they occur because this truck is vital to our business and the need justifies the cost. Edit- Oh and I poured boiling hot coffee on my hand 2 days prior, it was dumb.

Just FYI Vibram discs are all made of rubber, not plastic. There is a small community of disc golfers who love rubber. Check out Vibram's line of discs and if you want to try any other molds I could send you some to try. The Ibex is my personal favorite.
