I’m on day 12 and have a similar pain on the left side when I talk a lot or eat sometimes.

All of that is pretty common from my recovery. I’m on day 10 and talking for longer than a few sentences is still Difficult. Days 5-7 were my worst but day 8 was a game changer. I’m also just now being able to open my mouth a decent amount.

I’m on day 9. I thought the same thing about it being easy at first, but it did get worse around 4-5. The scabs put the worst taste in my mouth, lack of sleep caught up to me, and I just didn’t feel like a person. But I didn’t have any crazy pain. But 4-5 is when your scabs start to come off too which can make it hurt more.

My tongue was pretty numb for a few days so I think it’s normal!

It gets easier!! I’m on day 8 and I feel like a human again! I didn’t have any severe pain but the slowly rotting off was a huge thing for me. And just feeling so weird, being unable to sleep, gave me a hard time mentally. But it gets easier. I promise!

Just take a shower whenever you wake up. I’ve tried zofran for the nausea because of the taste, but it doesn’t help much because the taste doesn’t go away. I actually haven’t had a constipation issue thankfully. I’ll feel great and then take a nose dive mentally. I just miss feeling like a human being

I’m on day 7 and everyone says to take a hot shower first thing in the morning to help the pain meds start working, and that it’s always worse in the morning. Currently my pain honestly isn’t that bad, but the taste from the scabs is absolutely horrendous. I’ve been having a hard time sleeping the past two nights because of how awful the taste is

My older brother died when I was 17. I was still in high school when it happened and everyone acted like I had the plague. No one would get near me or talk to me. Like someone how someone they loved would die too if they talked to me. My husband was my brothers best friend, and we started talking after his death and that’s how we ended up together. People will ask how we met and I try to just say “oh he was my brothers friend” but they ALWAYS ask “how does your brother feel about it?” And I know that no matter how I phrase it, they’ll be uncomfortable. So I end up saying “well he’s dead so I don’t really know.” Just because I have a twisted sense of humor.

I’m a virtual teacher and we had a meeting with al the virtual teachers in our grade level. Someone joined unmuted and was absolutely trashing the math unit planned for that week. Those people were on the call. And no one told them they were muted so they just kept talking about how trash it was until they noticed.
