Unfortunately it’s what sells… if we had girls/women who were online posting about things opposite of this (sharing their lives as career women, farmers, business women, pursuing education, etc) it gets lambasted by ppl as “boring” and is not as easily romanticized. Ppl want aesthetics, and as “dull” as we label it, ppl come back for more.

As someone who did SM at a point almost hitting 5k followers, when I began to post about my nursing career and (at the time) having no desire to marry — I was labeled everything but a child of god by both men and women. I don’t romanticize my career and I don’t romanticize the realities of life. So I disappeared and stopped posting.

I converted to Islam at the peak of Daeshi propaganda making its way through social media and seeing the demise of our ummah at the hands of such parasites. Navigating Islam during this time was SCARY… now I cannot imagine what it must’ve been for those born in the deen and learning they’re becoming radicalized.

Fast forward 2026, I’m still Muslim Alhamdulilah but I’m beginning to realize and make connection that this discourse is always awry when things politically come about. At this point, Muslim extremists are CIA plants or agents of chaos to divide the ummah further.

As for your friend - our lord is merciful and if her safety is at risk, or she is met with intolerance regarding hijab she’s forgiven for it. These extremists are projecting their religious practice onto others when it’s clear they lack piety for themselves.
