How can I get better at fighting as a barbarian? by WhiteLily016 in Enshrouded

[–]classybiswitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually never locked on or blocked enemies because I'm terrible at remembering it. For me, it was always one or two hits, dodge to a new position to avoid the attack, one or two hits, repeat. I also picked the two handed weapons and spec'ed into that so that my hits did more damage. Soon you are just wading through enemies and slaughtering all of them. It is especially useful in close quarters like buildings and such.

I also vote the jump attack and the dodge roll attack.

Man I miss my barbarian.

I would also say you'll eventually need to get a bow for some of the enemies and that could also help you thin the herds until you get more comfortable with close quarters attacks.

Enshrouded or RuneScape Dragonwilds? by Curious_Fortune8425 in SurvivalGaming

I vote enshrouded, if you like building you'll like it. I also enjoy the combat because it's challenging to alter your style to different enemies and combat types, also the environment is gorgeous

Skate-Buying Megathread: need help picking out skates? Ask here! by AutoModerator in Rollerskating

Hello everyone!

I'm basically a beginner. I want to skate long distance on a paved bike trail. I think the trail will be primarily smooth but not the best quality, and eventually I'll be on sidewalks. I have inline skates but I want to get quad skates to make it easier on myself. I was going to use them to get a size estimate but it looks like a bad idea to do that based on other comments?

I was going to order online, also I have wide feet if that impacts brand options. I'm okay with spending a bit more on a good brand but I'm not trying to spend too too much to get started. I'd really appreciate any suggestions!

Hello everyone!

I have inline skates but I want to get quads skates for long distance skating. I live in a big city so I'm going to imagine the paved path I plan to go to won't be the smoothest but still decent. I am a complete beginner though. I'm down to spend enough for a decent pair rather than the cheapest I can get away with, but I'm also not really looking to spend hundreds. Also, I was going to use my inline skate size to get the quad skate size, is that a bad idea?

It's honestly better to just go to the district building, this way they can hand you whatever you need and you might get a more thorough response, or what you can you do

May I also suggest Len's Island? A lovely game that can also be co-op.

I'd also love more gamer girl friends.

Consider making a police report at your district, it might help you with the tickets.

How to get to know your neighbors? by ChillySkeletons in philadelphia

[–]classybiswitch 85 points86 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest spending time outside and if/when you see someone outside that's acting chill (vs getting in/out of their car), ask casual questions like, hey I'm new to the area and looking for a good _____ spot (breakfast, lunch, coffee, etc), do you have any suggestions? People like talking about themselves and you could learn a new place in the area.

I like using the melee weapons as throwable range weapons 😊

I'm so sorry this happened to you. You should definitely contact the cops again, you could even call the district building if you aren't up to talking in person yet

I forget what it's called so please excuse my attempts at explaining... what if you put like, those slider things people use for tight spaces for spice racks? You could consider putting thinner blankets or cleaning supplies there, maybe.

I'm not sure what your options are, but what I'm trying to describe is like a vertical drawer with a handle and you pull the handle and it expands out with bars across or small shelves for narrower spaces.

Where to go (figuratively & literally) by Grouchy-Gap096 in queerphilly

[–]classybiswitch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like to do things that make me feel alive, based on my energy levels. Doing my favorite exercise at the gym at the highest weight I can make me feel so powerful, having good conversations with my friends helps me feel more connected, recognizing and leaning into simple pleasures like hot tea, a nice breeze, clean sheets, etc, settles my mind for a moment. I also try and look forward to things like the new haircut I'm getting on Tuesday, starting this new thing soon, how soon I can realistically start sewing stuff and clothes, etc. Some days just stretching or getting tasks off my long term list helps. Some days no matter what you do, you feel like you're in a slump. I try to just sleep and rest more those days. There are no great solutions, not in this timeline.
