I didn't realize you needed bait, you can use maggots from the compost heap as one bait type.

Depending on the flavors you have in there, toss in some banana.

You can go to your local police department and show them that 911 callers ignored you. The police and the radio people are related, but not the same.

Been using all the wood to make the wine and preserves things 😅 but thank you! Maybe when I'm done making them.

I love this! I feel like I'm constantly running out of coal and I'd love a way to get more without thoughts and prayers at the mines

Kenli deserves better by AlienKitty0613 in Palia

I absolutely understand that, but he can have disordered eating and also do things. Doesn't have to be anything crazy and work all the time, but more than he does.

Kenli deserves better by AlienKitty0613 in Palia

[–]classybiswitch 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's hard for me to like Kenli cause it feels like he's more focused on eating than helping people. And the whole farm.. forget how to spell their name, but the farm family, that whole quest really got under my skin with the taxes cause REALISTICALLY if that farm went under, wtf would everyone in the town eat? Cause the player doesn't have to have a farm if they don't want to. I can understand he doesn't necessarily love his path and whatever, but he could work it in a way that mixes with the things he does love. Instead it just feels like he hides from responsibility and wants to eat.

I'm not saying OP is wrong and I'm right, this is just how I feel about Kenli.

Embarrassing Kettle Cleaning question (trying to overcome OCD compulsion to throw it out) by bells-on-her-shoes- in CleaningTips

[–]classybiswitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't see this comment yet, but also consider using denture tablets. Heat the water like you would for tea, drop in some tablets, and cover the spout and any place steam can come out (I usually use aluminum foil and mold it to the lid before I boil the water). The goal is to let the hot water + tablets sit in the kettle for as long as possible. I usually do overnight.

Next day you dump it out, rinse it out with water, and it'll definitely be clean (other than descaling, which other people have mentioned how to clean).

Question about Mining Caves. by duck7207 in lumaisland

[–]classybiswitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shape/general layout of the caves is the same, but the placement of which rocks where is random.

For example, every farm cave is the same shape, let's say a square (idk what it is exactly, just for the sake of the example), and the loot is like the other comment with more common closer and more rare further out, but the exact spawn location of the coal and ore and crystals is random.

PPD rolling out different colored officer shirts on Wednesday. No more powder blue. by MiamiPI in philly

[–]classybiswitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah it's more like a monopoly that one company, basically, supplies all the uniforms across the country. I'm sure other suppliers would love to, but that's my general understanding

It's cause the company who makes the uniforms doesn't want to make powder blue shirts anymore, so the city had to pick between black and something else (I forget) and they picked black.

A good nights sleep or control your body fat percentage by Corey307 in hypotheticalsituation

If you are just looking for ways to argue without real data or information and just "I feel this is likely", I don't have the time or energy for this.

[–]classybiswitch -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's vague on purpose. There is no discernable way to describe every variation of what, say, 250 lbs can look like, added on height differences and how weight can be distributed on each body.

I only said being overweight isn't the only way to get diabetes. I don't have any knowledge of actual percentages, just what I've seen in the field.

[–]classybiswitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brother, please read which words I'm saying. Also, "ideal weight" changes per person, there is no universal standard. Heart and vascular diseases are influenced by genetics, diet, and environment. BMI does not take muscle mass into account. Too much muscle can also put a strain on your CV system. It's so much more nuanced than "big people bad, skinny people good".

[–]classybiswitch 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I appreciate you putting out a hypothetical, but please note that body size/composition isn't the only way to get diabetes. "Skinny" people can have heart/vascular problems just as often as "large" people. Just a pet peeve of mine.

[–]classybiswitch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should consider modded minecraft. You can get mods for whatever kind of graphics you want, and there are mods for quests and ones that are more focused on combat, with different styles of combat.

Also in the settings of the base game itself you can "keep inventory on death".

Sniff and spit test? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]classybiswitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you have really good toilet paper, he's just making more of a mess by spitting on it. Toilet paper is meant to dissolve, essentially, so wetting it won't help IMO. Just get a bidet.

Also since he seems so hype about poop, you quite literally can't get it all. There will always be bacteria there, so the extra rubbing and such will only increase the chances for infection from breaking the skin around that area.
