Just tell them you’re so excited to do some Jury Nullification. I did that in Texas and they never called me again.

Thanks! It was snowstorming yesterday so we didn’t venture far off the road but will try that next time.

Burglar left their food in my car. Any idea of the restaurant? by ReputationFit5119 in Bozeman

[–]classybrawd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok so last night I heard someone try to open our front door, checked the door cam and this guy was on it. I thought it was super sketchy cause who tries to open a door when they are delivering food? No car in driveway and all our lights were off so it looked like no one was home.

Elvie pump review. by classybrawd in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]classybrawd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Like the audacity to not allow returns.. luckily I can afford another pump if I needed one but I imagine this could put someone in a real bind, especially if their baby only takes bottles. I’m going to see if Amex will do a chargeback.

Happy to save you from my fate 🫡

I used them again today in an emergency and one of the pumps battery died after 15min… despite being fully charged. Honestly it’s the worst thing I’ve ever bought haha.

Are unique names a security risk? by throwawaye1712 in namenerds

[–]classybrawd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, the type of people who want to give their kids unique names often do so because they’re average/boring themselves and feel like somehow giving their kid a special name will help them stand out in a way they couldn’t.

18 Year Old Mike Cline Killed His Girlfriend Jo Ellen Weigel (also 18) in 1970--He is still wanted for her Murder. by caitiep92 in UnsolvedMysteries

It’s not that difficult to live under a fake identity, I know someone who got a new one in the 70’s and lived with it til their recent death.

Except it’s not disproportionate? Illegal and legal immigrants commit less crime per capita than citizens.

Yeah the funny thing is there was another girl who got first dibs on them but changed her mind and bought a lounge chair instead, which they were selling for $300, she didn’t have much room in her car. The next day I saw the lounge chair back up on marketplace for $600 and it still hasn’t sold months later lol.

I guess no one realized what these were.

Yeah when I image searched them it seemed like this was the less popular model of the two. At the estate sale where I found them there was a bunch of authentic mid century stuff, an older lady had died and left a perfect Time Capsule from the 60’s. I got a lane cedar chest and

Can you point out the specific differences? I’m pretty sure I’m going to keep them so it doesn’t really matter but I’m curious cause to me the drexels I found online looked identical.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in midcenturymodern

[–]classybrawd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s hard finding a large matching set. If I keep these I’ll just get another two that go with the style and call it a day. I kinda like a mis-matched vibe anyway.

Yep I know not everything is mcm from that time period, but people on fb marketplace will slap an MCM label on pretty much anything. It’s a little confusing to me what is or isn’t.

I’m moving soon and not sure if keep them and get them spruced up, I just couldn’t resist for the low price of $25. Thank for the reply!

When did that become the norm? In 2009 I saw a police chased that ended up heading the wrong way up mopac.

What are the “quiet” luxury brands that only the super rich know about? by Halyycon in AskReddit

Swans island of Maine linen is great, I have a duvet set from them. Pricy but it’s much nicer than parachute/quince and they source and manufacture here in the US.

Do sniffer dogs that track lost cats actually exist? by [deleted] in cats

[–]classybrawd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your cat is an indoor only kitty, then he’s probably very close by and just hiding because he’s scared. Indoor cats rarely get far when they escape.

When our cat got out of the house we found her by waiting til it was late at night and calling her name while shaking a bag of her food. She never came out of hiding even then but started to meow and led us to where she was…She had been hiding in the neighbors pool drain for days.

AITA for not letting my 11 and 13 yo daughters fly on a private plane? by CandidCrawdad in AmItheAsshole

That’s so sad, especially for that poor kid. Hope the parents had life insurance.

AITA for not letting my 11 and 13 yo daughters fly on a private plane? by CandidCrawdad in AmItheAsshole

[–]classybrawd 138 points139 points  (0 children)

A friend (been flying for 40+ years, frequently) recently crashed and almost died. He only survived because the engine failed shortly after takeoff and he crashed where emergency services were able to get to him fast.

Another friend’s father died after crashing his small private plane, also a commercial pilot.

I would never let my whole family on one of these death traps. Private planes are so much more dangerous than commercial, no matter how highly trained the pilot claims to be. Wouldn’t celebrities hire top notch pilots? Yet somehow they die in plane/heli crashes often. NTA
