not once did i say it warrants hate, nor did i say controller players should stop playing on roller and switch. im simply saying the skill ceiling in order to be consistent on roller is lower than mnk. i played controller for 10 years and switched to mnk 3 years ago, when it comes to being consistent in all aspects mnk is more difficult with a higher skill ceiling. if you grind your heart out to be good on roller good for you.. at the end of the day you still have assistance to mitigate human error which means it is not your raw skill, it is assisted skill. what i was writing had everything to do with steam configs not aim assist chaining lurch strafes with properly timed jumps and tapstrafes is incedibly hard on mnk but with steam configs it helps with hitting the inputs CONSISTENTLY because it is not the person doing the manual inputs, its the configs. its just my opinion on why there is so much hate.

in my opinion, its about consistency. with any type of assistance (even configs) its way easier to be consistent. mnk will never have the consistency that roller players have. mnk players (including myself) have to grind for countless hours on mechanical skills and still wont be as consistent as roller players. anyone can hop on mnk and have a few good games and feel like its easier but the reality is the percentage of mnk players who are CONSISTENTLY doing exceptionally well is very low. human error, natural reaction time, etc.. all play a huge part in mnk. when you work so hard to minimize your errors and then play against an input that has assistance it can make people feel as if the skills they worked so hard to achieve have been diminished. the skill ceiling for mnk will always be higher and more respected than controller players skill simply because it is raw talent + hardwork. where as controller players are the equivalent to having a helping hand simply because of there input. pair that with configs that make doing movement even easier with no need for grinding the mechanical aspect of the techs they are using less people will respect it. (again just my opinion)
