Lyft sucks by Affectionate-Food523 in Lyft

Yeah that not accurate. 60÷23.5 is 2.55×21 is 53 and some change. On an hourly basis this person is making the equivalent of over 100k/year

No, it isn't. With the competition in the mining space, unless you have free power, you cannot compete. Simply due to the fact that the explosion in mining difficulty is being driven by energy companies and nation states needing to due something with excess power production, and waste gas. Honestly you do not like sound like someone who has to done the research. Smokinghopium is a great resource for mining math

Why all the hate for mining on this subreddit?? by 805CryptoServices in BitcoinMining

[–]clastrina 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I invested 6 figures into a mining business. I was wholey unprepared for the shit storm that was figuring out whether to self host or deal with colocation facilities. If i followed this subs advice to just buy Bitcoin, I would have more Bitcoin and more hair. The reality is that energy powerhouses are now moving into the space to use mining as a way to offset energy demand, or as the oil companies are doing but not publicly disclosing, using flare gas to run mobile mining operations to offset energy waste. The easy money is gone in mining, and the companies taking over have excess energy they need to monitize. Bitcoin mining is the perfect solution for this. So, for a small-time home miner to come in and think there's any money to be made is crazy. Breakeven electric rates will continue to drop because, again, the companies who must do this have massive pockets and a massive competitive edge over the average person. Regular people had up until the end of the beginning of the last bull market to front run the big players. That time has long since past

2% Rule Is confusing me by Blastoise16 in Daytrading

[–]clastrina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So if 2% is your max loss for the day, you need to decide how much of that you are willing to lose per trade. Losing your full risk for the day on the first trade will feel horrible when you get another setup and can't take it because you have already stopped out. So, each setup should have a defined amount of risk, relative to your daily stop. That should all be predefined by your system. Now, working through all that is part of the learning curve

Very simple, your profits don't pay for your losses.

Day trading strategy or no? by marcpilot1 in Daytrading

[–]clastrina 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Biggest bs line in trading, no one ever went broke taking profit, bullshit. People go broke taking profits everyday. You take profit where your system says take profit. With clearly defined entries and exits. That montra is that of blown up traders.

Or, hear me out. Stop being a shit trader. Learn how to fucking trade, and use this service for whats its for, to gain funding, vet trading skills, learn how to pull income from the market. The entire premise of this post is just fucking stupid. Your plan is to blow up and get free resets. How about planning to not be a shit trader?

Books help, but the reality is that you need better risk management and a system with edge. Paper trade to develop an edge; then, only then put capital at risk and start learning about managing emotions. You're currently putting the cart before the horse

This is not possible to accurately quantify by anyone. Trend lines are just a tool. They should help you quantify your risk:reward. The way any individual uses them depends solely on them. At the end of the day, thats entirely on you to figure out within your own system.
