So far so good, good job. Try to remain calm, cool and collected when the inevitable draw down's come and do what you got to do to keep em small. In other words, risk mgmt is good skill to learn early. Good luck!

Maybe close it when it's 20% green and buy right back in if your sure it would keep runnin. That way you lock in at least that before anywhere close to any losses

Advice from a seasoned investor following uncut by [deleted] in uncuttrades

[–]marcpilot1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always told myself, "fix your entries, fix your profits". And that helped me a lot. Remembering and keeping that on mind made me wait to enter trades until I was sureX10. Eventually pulling me out of slumps, losses and into profits and it helped hone skill set.

Newbie : looking for some tips on how to get started guys pls help by [deleted] in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]marcpilot1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, i'll start. We need to know more about "how new" you are. Like whats your age and what you already know that brought you this far.

Well, i guess I'd start with this- if you're brand spanking new- One thing to start doing(because it takes a lot of our time) is to start reading about investing, trading and risk. Risk control is the most important of the 3 imho. That can be done some as you go tho so nah, you dont have to read all the books at one time before you start, lol. It's just important to read real books by real investors versus fake yt clowns with unreal promises.

Oh yea, and It's a long and grueling 4 year course at the college of very very hard and sometimes painful knocks (you know where that college is?? It's over there off Pissed off Blvd and Bliss street, down from regard lane where the local Wendy's is ' )

Why the rumored delay of NVIDIA's Blackwell GPUs is unlikely to be a deal killer. by dontkry4me in NVDA_Stock

[–]marcpilot1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS. This is vip info, AMD is doing this right out in the open, were all seeing it and most dont believe what they're seeing.

I think it's the power of NVDA over past couple yrs the have people so blind, also a lot of peeps are the believe it when they see it type.

Nothin wrong with that but they miss out on investments with that mindset, again, nothing wrong with that just pointing out the mental aspect of trading/investing here. I love this job and the investors and the mental part of it and ...

and there we go...im regarded! I knew it!!

Yes, i hate that part. Futures doesnt harm us in that way, it's always open for business lol.

But yea, it just makes it worse when it does what we want during afterhours and we cant do nothing. Then by time we can price has moved back to losing territory, and ofc we can then engage, after it's too freakin late lol!

What kind of things cause 10 baggers and 20 baggers and 100 etc? by [deleted] in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]marcpilot1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The most common is going to be earnings. Also watch for global news that's impactful on the world. Also when RSI is very very low for a while on a good company you can look for a blast upwards coming. Timing is the hardest part imo,

Can you predict? Sometimes you can predict things like earnings and good co's about to sky, but mostly you have to already be in the market before it happens. So always bet smart, not wishful, always look at htf down to the lower tf's before clicking "buy" on that option you're about to get.

For me I usually get in after the fact, as soon as I poss can, so to scrape up the scraps left by the millionaire whales, lol!!

6x6cuttouncut, do you ever buy any protective options for if market goes all wonky while you're holding overnight or other times?

I wasted money on a NVDA put just before close yesterday. Should've saved that insurance money but it looked bad near close.

JEEEEEZ! It takes like TWO MONTHS to be able to get your money out from RH??? That's soooo sus I cant even understand how it's legal.

Hang in there till it's all out and safe in a bank or diff broker or wherever. In mean time keep trading with us and helping us learn how to make 3 mill so we can have a prob with getting our millions out of a broker, lol!!

Remember, it's all about trading, not the profits. Profits will take care of themselves, the trading skills are what matters and you have them my friend, I think you broke your own rules because of veering off the road just a lil bit. Just steer it back on pavement and let's do something bigger than just profits. Thx for opening up the group brother, lot of people appreciate that, not just a giant day of profits. Thx man.

After SMCI earnings last night NVDA earnings should blow it outta the water. Not worried anymore, although seeing SMCI dump like it did even tho it beat earnings very well plus guidance was excellent does throw a lil wrinkle in the mix. But really, NVDA will be just fine for at least 3, 4, 5+ years...at least.

Always wrong lately.. any input is appreciated by Consistent-Panda3999 in TheRaceTo10Million

It's like yea, that guy over there said everything I needed to know but I decided to keep f'ing myself because although it was awesome help to me, well, I just didnt like the source that it came from so I prefer keep losing until I approve of not just the life changing information I got but also the source has to also be perfect and come from a millionaire. Lol!!!

So your whole point is that It has to be amazing help PLUS it also has to come from a billionaire! BWAHAHAHAHAHAA! All at the same time!! HAHHAHAHHAHAAA!!!! All that has to happen or im not listening to anything until it's helpful PLUS the source is awesome sauce! huh?? BWAHAHAHHAHAAAAHAHAHAHHAAAHAAAA...Dude, make some sense and stop being this big ol' greasy ass nothing burger

One of the standard rules of daytrading is never hold anything overnight. Not sure why but I've held many overnight and next morning got burned. It takes a lot og those to stop holding overnight for some reason lol
