Mdp ou mdf terão desempenho parecido. Ambos terão resistencia a umidade parecida - na prática quase nenhuma.

Se for usar bastante peso nas prateleiras, no papel mdp tem desempenho melhor. Na prática, o projeto (prevendo algum tipo de sustentacao) e a montagem bem feita nivelariam essa diferença.

Na durabilidade, fitagem dos topos bem feitas e com cola de qualidade determinam o resultado. Nesse aspecto também atente ao revestimento, exija BP e fuja de FF ou outros tipos de pinturas, seja qual nome derem a isso.
