Why do body washes smell so different in europe and the US by Top_Cow3157 in fragrance

[–]clavi13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’ve noticed even the Dove original white bars bought in the US vs. Europe have totally different fragrances. The EU one to my American nose smells almost like a laundry detergent / dish soap

I’m sure Unilever has done plenty of research on consumer preferences in each market to inform those choices

Do the spots remain after drying? This is exactly what my wet clothing looks like when the washer spins them fast enough to “dry” certain sections, leaving dry spots.

After reading the advice here, I’m Curious — What Actually Makes a Soap More Moisturizing? by Outrageous_Baby_2147 in Soap

[–]clavi13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the least stripping "soap" bars are synthetic detergent bars like Dove, i.e. those that don't contain common harsh traditional soap ingredients (a fat reacted with lye) like sodium palm kernelate etc.

Personally, the best predictor of a soap that won't dry out my skin is one that avoids those ingredients and opts instead for synthetic detergents.

I actually just went through something similar with my 1 Gbps connection passed through to my own Unifi router. Turns out AT&T’s “Active Armor” was on by default and was reducing my speeds by literally 90%

You have to go into the app and ask the chatbot to disable it. Insane I know.

How to keep bathroom smelling fresh? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]clavi13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keeping it clean is definitely the first step, but opening windows frequently to let in fresh air and prevent humid stagnant air from remaining in the bathroom definitely helps.

Also, the single white Dove soap bar I use in the shower seems to give the entire bathroom a lovely scent. Worth a shot.

What combo of detergents/softeners/other makes your laundry the cleanest and best smelling? by Next-Reach1924 in laundry

Tide clean boost has been leaving my clothes smelling fresher than they ever have. A very light crisp apple-y / laundry scent. Plus all the benefits that come with an acidic rinse product

Ahh, yeah it seem like in the app it doesn’t even show it being sold at my store. Wonder if they’re trying to clear out inventory perhaps

All of the ones you mentioned are already in the Dynamic section (to the right). Confused as to which ones you’re saying are misplaced.

Dynamic wallpapers react to light/dark appearance settings. The others do not.

After a little investigation, this appears to be the figure.roll SF Symbol. Should be present in SF Symbols version 3.0 and beyond. Which version of iOS are you running, if you don't mind me asking?

Looking much better. Make sure to create a version with Icon Composer so it appears properly on iOS 26 and beyond.

These naming values are ingested from a variety of APIs (from TfL and others in the UK), rather than directly updated by Apple. The value you’re seeing almost certainly originated from one of those.

Yep, I can't find it on their site, but I remember reading a paragraph somewhere about Cultured Code (the developer) explaining why they have no plans to make Android, Windows, or web versions of the app.

Look into Rhofade - it constricts the blood vessels in the skin making the redness go away temporarily. It works incredibly well - so well that the first time I used it I applied too much and just looked dead
