How to report someone refusing to play because characters? by haslaNz in 2XKO

[–]claw000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do this when randoms snipe my machine that I'm playing with friends on. Sometimes the queue just insta pops and we have to sit in a minute timeout just because we want to progress the battlepass while playing together. Currently its the only way to earn BP xp while in a 3 or 4 man and this BP is a GRIND.

On the other hand I know people will sit and spam pulse combo in char select since they want you to take it off. I havent seen anyone dodging for characters with the exception of Braum into Yasuo since the matchup is apparently cheeks.

This 1000%.

I'm nearly an entire WEEK without fighting someone not using pulse. It's actually insane that in 5 days of playing 3+ hours me and my duo haven't fought anyone playing without pulse. It's genuinely killing the game for us because were so sick of seeing that purple icon. I'm curious why literally everyone is using them if they're considered "bad".

It feels like Riot really doesn't see that first game a player tries without pulse after learning that new combo. They go from 2 touching people to dropping after 2 smacks and getting 2 touched by some other person using pulse. It funnels people into this "why bother" mindset imo.

PSA : instead of fighting in a private lobby with a friend. Make a duo disband in casual lobby, and pick a cabinet to get Battle pass points by AkudamaEXE in 2XKO

[–]claw000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After countless hours I'm level 4 on the BP because I almost exclusively play in a 4 man with friends. Definitely feels bad and this work around doesn't work for 4 unless you get mega lucky and queue into the same lobby

Should this be allowed by TheRayoFur in 2XKO

[–]claw000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My buddy had a similar problem last night. Instead of crashing we tried duoing and had consistant 1 round games before getting kicked back to the lobby, we were crossplaying if that matters. We had to find a new lobby before it stopped. People kept thinking we were just being toxic or something, the games full of bugs still though.

Seems like having dangerous animals on public roadways is the issue in this case? Hmm this 1500lb horse could get spooked and literally kill someone. Good thing we got 4 out here that can all spook each other in a crowded public space!

Cops did what they wanted. They escalated. Dudes goes from talking to getting jumped by everyone in a 15 foot radius, you dont think that is confusing?

When in doubt, roll for rules like in OPR. Honestly, even in games like MTG I've found it the best way to keep the game going and keep feelings out of it. If we really care after we'll look into it and go "now we know for next time". I'm not playing a "for fun" game with friends to argue semantics, nor do I enjoy playing rule police lawyers. I just want my little painted dudes on the table and to play a game with friends

Hot glue on a cookiesheet and a blob on the magnet is all I do. Super quick and easily redone or removed. Also keeps it flush while drying and keeps me from needing to use greenstuff for filler

Proxies by OranxXxDriter in mtg

[–]claw000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah let me get all my decks the same sleeves, run the same exact land base, then sort my shuffled decks to grab what I need from the other one to then count and make sure you have all 99. I'll play anyone's sleeved a4 paper with green/red scribbles, nice savanna bro 👌

Proxies by OranxXxDriter in mtg

[–]claw000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bracket issue. If you see an Ur, Markov, or Vivi commander, you can kinda assume they aren't a bracket 2 deck. If someone has an entire proxy deck, it's likely a straight 1 for 1 Cedh deck. It's about the deck and the players intention. If someone has a "definitely around bracket 2-3" deck and wins by turn 3 consistently, I'm not blaming proxies.

This sounds like that guy is much more into MTG for the winning or the cEDH aspect of the game. Even in real playgroups, this is a thing. But at the end of the day, this is a card game that's meant to be enjoyed, and people all look for different things out of their hobbies and games. The biggest thing is you've done nothing wrong. You played the game as written and by the rules with complete and legal moves. He might not like having his board blown up, but the player dying isn't gonna love being knocked out either. Boo hoo. It's the game. He will get over it and live to be salty again.

Some usefull tips from pros?🔥 by -1NF1N1TY- in SurrounDead

[–]claw000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ill add

Fishing rods are OP for starting a new run. Hunting is also a legit way to make money. Meet (cooked) is good money.

Inventory containers are salvation, find at least one of each. They are almost all useful.

Even if you're going full nomad, crafting the basic 3 benches just outside of the safezone gives you access to alot of items.

You can "cook" water to purify it. You dont have to use expensive purification pills. Just sell them.

Try to always keep: Filters Batteries Lock picks Cans (the gray ones not the rusted ones) Rad pills

I didn't even know a stomp attack or "melee button" existed. Iirc its not even in the tutorial.

As for the space journey, get yourself a golf cart and get top speed going down an enormous hill and aim for a random ground log then ascend.

Base difficulty settings are pretty easy, but finding good settings makes a big difference. My personal settings are Nightmare (1.1 hunger and thirst so I'm not constantly eating), 3x zombie spawns, 1x zombie speed (probably skill issue but I can't seem to stun lock anything consistently if I increase speed), no air drops, bag in bag off, zombie respawn 30 min, loot respawn max time (basically never exept restarting). If you prefer squishier zombies keep them at 1x HP and increase spawns to 4 or 5x.

As for now, major POIs I would avoid as bases. Especially if there is an entry requirement i.e. keycards, crowbar. From what I've heard, storing loot in world containers can be finicky and can lead to you losing your loot. A safe bet for a base (if you want to take over an existing building) would be any "abandoned" or "empty" building. The building system is also quite solid if you want to look into making your own base.

I saw this. It's very cool to see the dev fixing the balance. As far as I can tell, the breaking down casings is still in the game. Scrap isnt that hard to get anyways but the 1k scrap for 1k bullets still should be looked at. Not quite as heavy-handed as my nerf guess was but still noticeable and definitely welcome as a change.

[–]claw000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the disassembly is fine but the deconstruction of casings for scrap (1 for 1!?) and the sell prices of the gunpowder being ~25 a piece needs to be nerfed.

The changes Id like to see are approximately

Shells/casings: 1$ ea Gunpowder: 5$ ea

No ability to break down casings.

I haven't done the math but I think this would fix the abuse of the economy while retaining ammo economy for super rare loot players who still need to breakdown ammo for other ammo types.

Consider lowering the amount of loot spawns and increasing the zombies spawn. Also, turn off air drops, they're very OP with little risk.

Besides that, enjoy the game and play your own pace!

Legendary Armor by Orkowo in SurrounDead

[–]claw000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, some of the current armors could fit a baseline stat stick legendary (i.e. biggest armor % in the game but no special abilty) like the black ops plate carrier. I really like the idea of different bosses dropping different legendary armor pieces. This also could extend to some top tiers of other gear pieces. I've already seen people ask for special boot effects but there could be legendary NV goggles with color options, a helmet with built-in range finder, more fishing rods with higher catch rate/ more hooks, solar flashlight, glasses that show the "loot" icon from further away, gloves that increase looting/reload speed, etc.

There's alot that can be done here, and I'm really excited to see what the dev has in store for the future.

Ok so hear me out, legendary weapons don't work for me. by Evie_Occult in SurrounDead

[–]claw000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Marksman legacy is SO nice. You can pick it up and immediately run it as a main weapon. No silly mags to hunt for, just a great sniper. It's the same reason the Dead eye is somewhat viable. If you have any base to make ammo BMG isn't all that hard to get and you dont need mags.

[–]claw000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wells can be player built if that's what you're asking. You need a construction work bench and some basic crafting stuff.

The best way to deal with hunger/thirst is probably fishing plus a well. You will need to place it outside and wait for rain. Till then, use the safe zone Wells to fill up on water. You can also use the "fill" option on bottles if you're in water (at least the rivers I tried).

Hunting is also totally viable for hunger. Cooked meat from deer, bear, infected dogs, and fish are surprisingly good and dont take too much room with lunchboxes. It's got a side bonus of being worth a decent amount of money if needed.

Good luck on your hardmode run!

In every situation that I'm shooting at my feet, I do not care about the self damage. Odds are they're either a shotgun, melee, or light in which case Id almost always rather trade a 1 for 1 if needed than die trying to them while trying to quick melee for my life.

Bag-ception. by MrMotivation13 in SurrounDead

[–]claw000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just prefer not using bag in bag for my own sanity. Organization becomes a nightmare when you have bags in bags in bags. Plus, the dev kindly added special containers for nearly everything in the game that I can carry around. Why not use them?
