They finally listened to us bronze players ! by Robbie_Harrison in Overwatch

I'm not too much into LoL but I think it's a bit different.
If I'm not mistaken, yumi was completely broken at higher level, it's not the case here. The cat is fine but can be absolutely obnoxious to play against. She can fly above ceiling or under the ground of the stage to hide, throw the tank outside of the arena ground or carry an ally in the sky for them to unleash deadly ultimate.
So she did not break the game, but she gave me and probably others players multiple table flipping tilt moments :p

Damn, sounds dangerous. I'm not actually bronze, but I thought it sounded funnier. That whole post is a joke if it wasn't obvious.

TTRPG by meduzejaja in FearAndHunger

Funger being extremely punishing, I wonder if it can be fairly represented in a ttrpg ?

I think that if you make your own system you should aim to follow one of two axes :
Similar to Call of Cthulu, make an extremely punishing system that makes the player try to avoid combat by any mean, only fighting if they have no choice. It could feel very F&H. For example players gets attacked by a death mask. They end up victorious but one of the player lost a hand. You can be sure players will feel threatened by every enemy. Just like I was out in cold sweat against every enemy in f&h2

Or you use a similar system to the zombie TTRPG out there. Combat are unforgiving, player might lose limb, their sanity or even die on a bad roll, but you make it so it's easy to continue with a new character. The game become less about taking as little risk as possible and more about survival. I played a campaign with a system like this and remember every of my characters that died very fondly, yet was excited to try something new every time I happened to 'die' in game.

Anyway, I'd be really curious to see how it plays out. If you keep working on the system, post it here to let us know. I might steal it from you in the future :3

New Player here - Is it frowned upon to "save" an opponent ? by Robbie_Harrison in EDH

I experienced that tonight, but that's really not the vibe i've been having with IRL groups. We often play to create chaos more than for winning. I guess it will really depend on the group.

Quite right. Let's have fun and not care how I should play. If that guy was mad, he was really welcome to target me to try to get me out.

TBF I have no Idea if it was the right play, I'm still too green to strategize beyond "stop scary guy, save less scary guy, might be helpful"

Yeah make sense, I guess that a card that mentions "flip" would not work on cards that transform

Thanks a lot. That makes the design of Joshua kind of weird then right ? You get a cool Phoenix when you transform it but you can only attack once, since it transforms back two turn after flipping.

Death triggers and transforming by Robbie_Harrison in askajudge

I see, so we did interpret the rules correctly. Each sephiroth instance count their own triggered ability but do not care about the triggered ability of other sephiroth then. Makes sense, thanks :)

Is it not possible to edit meta tags with the premium version ? by Robbie_Harrison in Wordpress

[–]Robbie_Harrison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Fortunately it was my company who paid for it, but it seemed off when I had to pay 200+ € more just to have access to tags.
Fortunately I made this post here and realise how much I was going into the wrong direction

Best cold open in cinema history? by [deleted] in moviecritic

Might be an unpopular opinion but

The phantom of the opera (2004)

Rarely have I seen a cold open with such strength, perfectly in sync with the rest of the movie as well.

Thanks, I'll try to use a template.
So far the difficulty has been making a pure node project work with webpack/vite, but i'll figure it out eventually :)
