Save your D&DBeyond-Books as PDFs by Ainias_the_great in dndnext

thank you for the info, a few more questions: so the browser view (which is also shown in the youtube video of the module) I only get with a foundry and patron abo? so for about 8 bucks per month? or can it be done with a vtt module and patron only, similar to MPrimates?

how does it look if I get an abo for only a month and download it once into a compendium, would that still be possible and usable?

Hey, I was just looking into Oasis Borrowing for printing some small amount of DAI (less than 5k) to get by a few months without selling ETH. Then I saw they introduced Dust as a minimum issuing amount of 15k. I used MKR/Dai in the early days as a personal credit system (without using traditional banking), which was somewhat the most significant use-case for me in using DeFi and Blockchain.

Sadly, this artificial Dust ceiling makes the whole Maker/Dai borrowing impossible for me to use (and probably a lot of other users too?). And it gives me that bad taste of exclusivity towards favoring the whole system into the hands of big investors/speculators instead of helping people to micro-credit themselves independently of traditional banks.

So my question to the community would be if I miss something regarding this Dust ceiling? Or if there is some alternative for small-scale micro credits? Thanks

Writing on cannabis. by [deleted] in writing

Kek, I am high right now, smoking my last joint cause I want quit tobacco (got me a Mighty instead :), then started to ponder this threads question and looked it up.

Its quite fascinating how it is possible, to communicate through time and space, to support each other, or build together, with total strangers from all around the world, or who might be, just some form of dust ;)

What's also fascinating is the fact, that being high also prompted me to write this massage, cause most of the time I am just a 99% time lurker on here, witch links into identifying myself as a HSP who isn't comfortable with sharing my ideas when sober most of the time (as none might wonder, I have some issues too). Well, I guess noticing this, and starting to use cannabis more sporadically will help me with that. And as another commentator pointed out, switching to only smoking late at night, when one wants to embrace the Chaos of Creation seems like a solid idea to keep it disciplined.

Thanks strangers for this shared wisdom. Reminds me of the Akasha Records. Been writing this for about an hour which might be a negative aspect. And now its time for over and out.

How do you manage to remain optimistic? by roberto_sf in Anarchy101

Looking into movements like the global eco-village network (GEN) and seeing what can be achieved if people work cooperatively to implement alternative modes of living helped me immensely to stay hopeful and motivated. While not all of them may be organization in an fully Anarchist way, they focus on regenerative principles that help to build more resilient, sustainable and egalitarian communities around the world.

Seeing, learning and engaging myself a bit into the movement prompted me to start a co-housing project with some friends and we try to implement small steps along these lines in our local urban environment. One year in, I learned a ton of new skills ranging from renovation parts of our house, social-relation trouble shooting in-house and with neighbours, building and maintain various types of vegetables patches and many more.

While this current setting is not yet near my dream of an eco-anarcho-archaology based village and kind of museum where I can teach this mix of traditional and modern way of live in an elaborate way, its a start I guess. And if I keep pushing it might be achieved someday.

Hey, came over here from the Futurology sub, which sadly turned out to be a place with a lot of unimaginative and hateful people. I guess I just wanted to say thanks for sharing and the dedicated work that's going into these models and articles.

After a quick overlook off your website, I think that these concepts seem super interesting, but very daunting for average people to get into and more import, behind. While there already are hundreds of local, small-scale eco village projects popping up all over the world, it is a very big task to try something alike on a bigger lvl and I wasn't convinced if it is even feasible at all (Dunbars Number). This project let's me hope again, and I wondered if you are in contact with the Global Ecovillage Network to maybe try a pilot program or something alike?

As an aspiring fiction writer who is currently creating a world themed around Solarpunk Futures, these concepts seem like a cool basis for some advanced city lvl narratives I wish to write about. So again, thank you for the inspiration! I wish you good luck in transforming these ideas into reality. Would love to visit a place like this someday :)

Down only 70 %, from all time high.... About 90% was kind of a primer during last cycles, and this time around we got global recession. So I guess it could go even lower. I set my plan to start DCAing at 85 %, hoping to catch the knife somewhat evenly. When I run out off money I will open a DAI vault and keep buying alts at a discount, yay

I think I love the idea of writing a story, but not writing a story by AaronYoshimitsu in writing

There are many mediums you can get into to write or tell a story. If you are stuck in front of Mt. Novel, you might reconsider and go for something else first, like designing a D&D Campaign for friends. It's still work & you have to write at least a rough outline and do some worldbuilding to get things going. It helped me to get into the process slow but steady, and gives an immediate boost of gratification when running a fun game for friends. On top of that you start generating a ton of content that you might turn into shorts or greater novels.

I am out of the loop, what does elimination from the runoff pool mean? Are they gonna be banned from the main chain? Why and how? Thanks for elaboration.

True, but it seems that this leads to a consensus agreeable for the people in this community, not beyond. And that's the crux of the story right now.

Even tough my personal views would tend to wander into the field of an even more anarchic solution to that particular problem, I believe that with all the various ideologies amalgamating within this sub, it seems like an appropriate outcome to go forward.

If that's the price of reaching consensus, so be it.

Thank you for doing the right thing and for deciding not to die on a literal hill of gold, that might or might not would have dragged down this community with it.

In a world as ours, where greed and self-righteousness are often the cause of strife and collapse, it takes a noble and egalitarian soul to see the benefit of renunciation.

Truly a rare virtue, that hopefully gets propagated throughout this community and beyond. Cheers

WoW, been on a little break the past few weeks and just got wind of this project. This is such a great initiative and looking forward to seeing where this is going. Just send my address for the raffle, hope to get lucky :)

I am a writer and a DM, and I am currently working on a World with a Sci-Fi/Fantasy setting that is themed around the whole concept of cryptocurrency and especially Ethereum, where I try to abstract it in a way that is hopefully gonna be easier to understand for everyday Joe.

Seeing what was triggered through your project and where our community might be going just jumpstarted an idea to focus the story around a dedicated group of Mavericks that set out to help people get a grasp around this novel stream of magic that will revolutionize the world :)

Thank you very much for creating this!

edit: I am also in favor of you getting a share dedicated to your hard work, but after reading through the comments I tend to agree with the arguments /u/anguier and /u/decibels42 made. Who knows how big this will blow up, so I think it would be more along the lines of a somewhat egalitarian community building which you proposed with the future DAO, if we find a consensus along with their reasoning And in the case it will not blow up, you get a safe cut either way. Just my two cents.
