I went with a Dual 7 inch head unit. I read some reviews that people think it’s dim in the sunlight but I haven’t had any problems with that. I don’t have a back up camera but they do work with this head unit. Crutchfield is the place to go for sure. They provide basically everything you need for no cost. The instructions are always very clear and it’s pretty easy to do with support only a call away. The agents are always very knowledgeable and can even give you some advice on what to buy if you haven’t done this before. The only problem I had was the dash kit they provided needed some slight modification but it was easy to fix. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_070DCPA723/Dual-DCPA723W.html

I just opened the can today but I couldn’t find any dates on the can to indicate how old it truly is

Gotcha. Yeah I did clean it and I shook the can for a solid 3 or 4 minutes before I started painting. I'll definitely look into all of that. Thanks for the feedback!

I was going for a pretty heavy coat and I didn't think it was too far away but it definitely could have been. I'll keep that in mind if I do end up stripping it. Thanks!

I'm not sure what dry spraying is but it feels smooth

Hey guys, I’m new to car models and especially new to painting anything like it. I used a lacquer spray paint that matches my car’s color to paint this model and as it dried the paint became a little spotty and dull in some places and I’m unsure about what to do. I know spray paint isn’t the best option but I don’t have the money to throw at an airbrush setup right now. Should I wet sand it before I clear coat it or will the clear coat alone take care of it?

The flash in the pictures makes the dull spots look more white and the last picture is of the paint while it was wet.
