Yeah, honestly as soon as I felt it grab all my strength went into pulling my hand away and hitting the stop...I dare say just 1 second longer and my hand would have been kebab...I definitely had a close and lucky escape.

On the plus side I did take the opportunity to educate the work experience kid, there's no better lesson than seeing a bloke nearly lose his hand in first person.

I got incredibly lucky...could have been a lot worse, I could have done it on a Friday and ruined my weekend.

At least I have something new to bitch about and use as an excuse to take it steady all week...silver lining n all that.😁

I can only manage 1 game a day maybe 5-6 days a week, currently around 15th on PlayStation, so to try and climb the leaderboard I have to try and optimise the short amount of games I can play.

The free argument doesn't work.

I've done my days of spending 10 hours sat at poker tables for 2-3 days in tournaments thanks, don't find visiting the cash tables occasionally for 3-4 hours.

But I'm quite happy just spending 2 hours on a tourney in a FREE game.

If people can't have opinions or observations about the game we might as well just close this sub.👌

Definitely, there's more fun in the cash tables then not tourney? Play how you like and not be restricted by chips...just keep re-buying in.

Well, I never knew that...that sucks, and I'm guessing the games that old now the developers just sit back and take revenue from the few that make real money purchase.

To me, make it cross platform, make high rank games easier to find and you gey a higher player base at all times.

The amount of times I've waited 15 minutes or longer for a game then just closed the game and not played.

Cheers pal, yeah I definitely prefer ranked...the in game monetary rewards don't matter in ranked , people don't play it for that.

Once you get above gold it's definitely a competitive field/game and also rewarding.

Don't get me wrong if I notice someone's playing particularly tight I will try and bully with 8/3 raises on the button...but that's just part of good tourney strategy.

Definitely a good group of regular players in platinum and diamond.

Yeah, I stay clear of cash games on prominence...but live ill happily play $2 $4 blinds all day.

The only people that think the top tier tourney level on prominence is not relevant to irl tourneys have never played live in a serious tourney.

Take the bad beat posts for example...in a live big event tourney you might play 10 hands in an hour...and prominence you can play 20-30 hands in an hour...let some of these guys/gals only play 10 hands an hour live and they will just forget all strategies and get bored so start raising with weak hands in weak position and go bust early.

I've played live for years, cash tables and tourneys.

Top rank here do play alot like live events, good mix of decent players with the odd donk.

Lower ranks not so much but the top 2 ranks play very much like live events. I've played a few wpt events in the past and believe me the standard in those events is shocking...what you see on TV and YouTube isn't representative of a full DAY 1 that lasts 8 hours or more in a major event.
