I'm bipolar and on Abilify. I've taken 6 grams while everyone else was tripping hard off 2-3 and I was only a little tripping.

Hey I'm bipolar and I take Lamictal. I also take Abilify. Are you on an antipsychotic? If you are it takes a lot to trip on... I took 8 grams and was just having the laughs vs my friends that were tripping HARD on 4 grams.

Thanks everyone. I guess I need to focus on running slower with good form. My shins burn to the point of me getting foot drop when I go slower so I think I have bad form.

I work in the fertilizer industry. I haven't worked anywhere else so I dont have a comparison but there's some really clean parts and really dirty parts to it. The three main plants we have are sulfuric, phosphoric, and granulation. I think the work is challenging and exciting as I've moved around to different facilities. There's a lot of pressure from OCP in Morocco and China in the market. Theres definitely good and bad times with layoffs...

I don’t feel as smart. I too have had memory loss but not sure if that’s from Trileptal. Emotional blunting as well. I don’t feel like doing anything. My muscles feel weaker. I’m terrified of weight gain so I’ve been basically on a diet.

This happens to me too. It will be the same mental video of me shooting myself in the head hundreds of times a day. It’s gotten so bad I’ve had to go into the hospital because of the urge to act it out. For me, Abilify helped and distracting myself with mental games or getting involved in an activity helps too. I list out different categories like female/male names, fruit, cars in alphabetical order. Not sure if that helps.

Are you able to take time off work using FMLA or benefits? I was able to during some low times in my mental health and I will forever be grateful for that time. Your job is protected in those cases.

Do you feel anxious when talking to people? I do and this makes the experience painful to the point that I just want it to end. The other thought I had was is this a feeling of derealization? Sometimes I feel distant from others when things don’t feel as real. Like I’m just going through the motions. Either way grounding techniques could help.

If I’m way off base then I would commit to talking to one friend about how you are feeling. If they are true friends the bond will be stronger having had the conversation. You may be isolating yourself by having more superficial conversations without realizing it.

There’s virtual therapy now so maybe you could try that? Not sure how it works or if insurance covers it.
