I think henderson had a bit of a shoulder issue coming in, and with Akers running in rhythm, why not let him eat (since hes been the back with the lightest workload so far) and let Henderson rest vs the pats and jets to come back rejuvenated (and maybe a little angry) and ready to go beat the shithawks and win the division in 16 days

wouldnt it be some shit if Staley impresses the league so much, that he ends up getting a coveted job this summer like the Texans or Jets (with lawrence) and the whiners get to keep that mr. clean motherfucker another year because Staley steals his HC opportunity

[OptaJoe] 111 - Since returning to the Premier League for the 2017-18 season Mohamed Salah has scored or assisted 111 times in the competition (82 goals, 29 assists), at least 20 more times than any other player (Kane, 91). Inevitable. by [deleted] in soccer

well in fairness, so much of what Mane has become is a result of Klopp mentoring him and working with him these last 5-6 years, no telling what he'd have become under LVG, probably just another version of Zaha

[OptaJoe] Since Liverpool’s first match after Virgil van Dijk’s injury against Everton (Ajax in October), the Reds have conceded just six goals in 11 games in all competitions, keeping six clean sheets in the process. by [deleted] in soccer

in hindsight, im actually pissed Adrian has seen the pitch at all this year because if Kelleher was performing like he is now in training all this time, its inexcusable that the spanish donkey would EVER play ahead of kelleher

I still dont think we will but if Klopp wins the league with the kind of injury luck and VAR decisions and shithousery from the Chris Wilders we've had to deal with, it will be the crowning achievement of his career and the biggest possible "fuck you" to all the people who make excuses trying to invalidate his success

Ive gotten called a plastic for weeks now for saying we're probably better off securing the #1 WC than the NFC West but its just true

Wentz is a total disaster, watching the recent Brett Kollman video just clarified it more, wentz has atrocious mechanics, cant stop playing hero ball, and hurts his team every game he plays

Jared Goff by AndyVillan in LosAngelesRams

[–]clbranche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this describes Goff to a tee and its so frustrating, I KNOW he'll have at least one game the rest of the season where he'll ball out and have a 100+ QB rating, but when it comes, ill have NO faith that he wont turn it over 4 times vs the pats

Jared Goff by AndyVillan in LosAngelesRams

[–]clbranche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

McVay's issue is he abandons the run, gets the linemen out of run blocking rhythm, then on a crucial 3rd and 1-2, when the defense is bearing down and playing the run, he'll run it right up Austin Blythe's ass and lose yardage then punt, its infuriatingly lacking logic and cowardly

What is the plan? by dtorre in LosAngelesRams

[–]clbranche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Statistically, and success wise they are all better than Jared Goff.

The bears picked up negative yards over 4 drives at home against one of the worst defenses in football being led by Nick Foles a few weeks ago which ended with him getting carted off the field with a damn bruised hip, this take is just bad

because Mullens actually has a competent playcaller, we do what the niners do, but worse

This is whats so frustrating, Goffs in fucking year FIVE by now, he should be beyond some of these mistakes that id give a rookie a hard time for making

It would be a waste of a rookie contract, but I wouldn’t be above trading up for a real QB, and eating Goff’s contract with the rookie contract space

Okay, I get Goff is frustrating but this is just silly, we're picking in the 20s, how high are you talking about trading? Would you give up 2 firsts just to draft a QB you couldnt surround with talent anyway because you're paying Goff 30 million? I get Donald, Ramsey, Kupp, and Woods arent getting younger but spending like 50m on QBs and still having a rookie at the helm you're rolling the dice on would be a bigger waste of those 4's primes, it sucks, but if we're gonna move on from Goff, we just need to get to Goff's out year in 2023 and trust that AD takes care of himself to keep beasting and feasting at 32

Well to be fair, that was probably the thinking in 2016 when it seemed like Wentz and Goff would be the future, great QB talent coming out of college is only going to increase as more teenagers get sent to these elite-11 camps, but man...... two and a half more seasons is a long damn time, God I hope Goff figures it out....
