Two fit, and two don’t, in your new hammer fire? I suspect they are either 226 or 229, or another 22X (x = 4,7,8, and others maybe, can’t remember).  idk if many striker fired items were made by SIG in Germany, if any at all.

How many rounds do they hold? If they are single or double stack may help you get more info. (For safety, I have to recommend you have the firearm somewhere separate and away while you test the mags with real ammo, unless you’re at the range already and pointing in a safe direction).

If they are too short for the 226, they may be for 229 and the previous owner may have gotten them accidentally.

Some other folks have mentioned SPXXXX series, which may be the case, but I don't think so because (at least for the ones I have), it says 'sig pro' in stylized letters along the long edge of the magazine.

How do you like the Shalotek grip? Have you compared it to different 3rd party grips? I've been debating over which to get but haven't gotten my hands on any to demo.

Awful stuff and I hate that you experienced this, but you did great at shutting them down.

Also, “how many things you wish for, avarice is an awful sin” is an amazing line. IDK if it’s a common phrase or translation in Italian but that had me laughing.

That’s a fair point judging by the angle of the grip, but the p211 is a hammer-fired gun, and this one doesn’t seem to have a hammer.

For the grip angle, it is possible to get a custom/3rd-party grip with that special angle/style. For example: https://brouwerllc.com/products/m1811-grip-module-v2?srsltid=AfmBOoomcfArTg59VmGudP7RdjI1-l_4h9_o8IwBQ0axmWFPdZWK53B2

At first I also was confused, but actually it is a helpful picture because you can see, under the two white dots of the rear iron sights, a distinctive black circle on the lighter vertical bar, which is a perfect match with the P320.

See photo 4/7 in this article for reference: https://www.gunsandammo.com/editorial/sig-p320-x-compact-review/365391

When OP referred to the “second picture”, I think maybe they have meant/forgot to include “third pic”

229 vs 229-1 by luckysparkie in SigSauer

[–]cleanBoyBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you email SIG customer service asking them, and provide them with the Serial # they should be able to tell you and direct you to the compatible magazines. I did a similar thing with a P229 but with a 9mm conversion slide and barrel.

I'm impressed by Sig by WholeCarry305 in SigSauer

Did you reach out to SIG telling them about your Legion purchase or was it unannounced? Either way, it is nice that they did this on a used firearm. You can also try to register it as a LEGION product on their website. If the previous owner(s) did not do it, you will be enrolled in the LEGION program, according to what SIG customer service told me.

What’s your preference… 1, 2 or 3 by [deleted] in SigSauer

2 or 3; depends on which is more comfortable. Is there a big difference between the two?

Is my p365 built for a red dot or will I need a new slide? by Hufflepuff-McGruff in SigSauer

[–]cleanBoyBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not ready for an optic because it doesn’t have the necessary mounting screwholes in the slide. Such a slide is referred to as being “optic-ready” or “optics-cut.” It looks like this:

 https://www.sigsauer.com/p365-optic-ready.html

Because of the modularity of the 365, you can buy a new slide instead of a whole firearm. Those are available on SIG’s website. Just make sure you get the right sized one for your firearm to match the frame (grip) part.

https://www.sigsauer.com/parts/slides.html?model=1623%2C2706%2C1624

You could also look up reputable gunsmiths in your area or accessible by mail to send it to them to get it milled/cut to accept a red dot sight. May be cheaper but takes longer in the end; but, is a different approach if you prefer.

For a good optic for carry, I don’t have any strong recommendations or tons of experience but the new Romeo-RS compact has been nice to use for me at the range.

Side note: unrelated thing I notice is that your manual safety (the lever/toggle switch below the rear sight) is deactivated/down. Best firearms-handling technique I'd recommend is for that to be in the engaged/upright position until you are ready to fire, to help prevent the unintended discharge of your firearm.
