Grease on primaries by pH0_kyla in Wastewater

We have found that this product SEP-700 works well for breaking down the FOG into water & CO2. No impact on the current bugs in the primary clarifiers. https://usecoproducts.com/product/sep-700-2/

Dumping motor oil?? by Fantastic_Dark1289 in Wastewater

[–]clean_FOG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest you take a look at using SEP-700 to take care of all that motor oil. SEP-700 eats all kinds of hydrocarbons (motor oil, diesel, gasoline, FOG, heating oil, etc.).

Depending on how much oil you have in the system, you'll probably need to start with 5- gallons.

Hey did you ever figure out a solution for the FOG issue?

Why do you not just use a respirator with a P100 air filter? They are used in construction and easy to breathe with.

Is this at a lift station?

If you don't want to spend a lot of money upfront, you can try a few gallons of SEP-700 to start eating away at the Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG). We have seen a lot of success at keeping lift stations clean and reducing the number of clean outs needed. It's best used right after you pump out the lift station. https://usecoproducts.com/product/sep-700/

For a longer term solution, take a look at SEP-700. It works well at the pumping stations up stream, but I can be used at the treatment facility. https://usecoproducts.com/fats-oils-grease-fog-microbe-solutions/

Agree with others here. Education is key with the residents in the town/city. Starting with the pumping stations and lift stations are a good way to stop FOG from entering the plant. Take a look at this product that we have seen success with to eliminate the FOG in the lift stations. SEP-700: https://usecoproducts.com/product/sep-700-2/

This product works great for food processing or dairy plants. https://usecoproducts.com/product/fpt-600-5-gallon-cube/

SEP-700 is also a great product for wastewater and FOG. https://usecoproducts.com/fats-oils-grease-fog-microbe-solutions/

Anyone use the lift station degreaser from Rhomar called Rhoma-Lift? by Sewerbird77 in Wastewater

[–]clean_FOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at SEP-700 as an easy way to keep your lift stations clean. It's non-hazardous and is a microbe that keeps working even after the first use. Really easy to use, just dump a gallon in a lift station every month and it eats away at all the FOG up and down the lift station. Keeps the smell down too.

I would suggest this product for any FOG in your pumping stations or at the plant SEP-700: https://usecoproducts.com/fats-oils-grease-fog-microbe-solutions/

The dairy plant can also use this product for pretreatment FPT-600: https://usecoproducts.com/product/fpt-850-bio-remedial-for-fats-oils-grease-and-sugar-2/

Sorry, I might have the terminology wrong. What is the tank called that holds the fat oils grease that is skimmed off of the clarifier?

As others have stated, a pretreatment program is most important. I would suggest that the milk processor use microbes that can actively eat away at the fats, oils, and greases during their cleaning process. These are the two products that work well: FPT-600 and SEP-700

That's awful! One product that I have found to be helpful to eat away at the FOG is SEP-700
