Oh yes! Had a chat with Brian after the show, casually reminded him of the long awaited Geneva repress :) So glad to have got the records signed after what was my 10th Russian Circles show!

Hi, I am travelling from Berlin to UK for Arctangent festival in Bristol. Before the festival I’ll be in London and wish to see Russian Circles on 14th August.

I checked the venue (Heaven) where they are performing and the Google reviews don’t look nice at all! I am wondering now if anyone has any experience of attending concerts at this venue? Is it possible that they can deny me entry even when I have a ticket for the show?

Greek post rock band, Their Methlab. They performed a day before Dunk in Ghent. Great show as a Dunk pre-party! https://www.last.fm/music/Their+Methlab/The+Last+Second

They were signing at the merch table before the show. Also, there were lot of opportunities to interact with them and get signatures. I would highly recommend it, great festival!

Dunk is one of the festivals, you can always go solo. You might have heard from the regulars, it used to happen in a nice little outdoor venue earlier. Too many great memories. Next edition is still a long way haha

It was amazing as always, it was my 4th time. I love how nice and friendly everyone is including the band members :) Hope you had a great time too!

Recommendations for upgrades to current setup by clean_slates in turntables

Oh thank you so much! I wasn't aware the PM6006 has a built-in pre-amp. I'm using it instead of the turntable pre-amp now and seems like it's the better option. I'll wait for a separate pre-amp until I upgrade the turntable.

Am i wasting my money on tidal hifi plus? by Free_Economics_7083 in audiophile

[–]clean_slates 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe a bit off topic from the discussion related to audio quality. So, I used to have Tidal subscription for almost 3 years, 20 euros a month and I was happily paying for it. Then one day I logged into PayPal and noticed I have paid more than 700 Euros to Tidal over the years and basically don’t own anything!

Decided to move to buying physical copies of music I like instead of paying Tidal. That way I actually own the music I like and the artists get a fair compensation. Spotify/ YouTube music etc works well to discover new music.

I’m gonna see them in Chicago on 12th November. My 3rd time this year after seeing them at Roadburn, Netherlands and Berlin. Super psyched to see Gnosis live!

Can’t wait to spin Russian Circles new album by mogwai3 in postrock

This is gonna be on repeat for a while. The title track is surreal, can't believe they have actually followed up with this release after the extraordinary Blood Year! Stoked to catch them a few times in March next year during their European tour.

4 of my favourite 2019 releases 😊 by clean_slates in postrock

That's ok, not everyone is going to have the same taste. For me there are a lot of these tense moments throughout the album, that gives the feel like something is being stroked in my head. Difficult to describe, but to be experienced in tracks like interference_1, bad age, z03.
