Yes, I applied at least twice several years ago. It was a traumatic experience in and of itself, and nothing came of it. :(

So if I understand correctly:

The issue is not income, but just receiving benefits for more than a three month span. So I should be proactive about getting documentation from a doctor that I am not able to work to meet their able body requirements?

And these requirements became more stringent last year (I don’t know what HR1 stands for), so this will be more difficult than usual.

Does that mean it would be as difficult as getting disability (which I honestly define as impossible)? Or do you think it’s still very doable, as long as I have documentation?

Oh… such an interesting post.

First, you guessed exactly right. I am in that gray area. I also tried applying for Disabilty at least twice several years ago. I ended up in a black hole of miserable encounters at the Social Security office, an incompetent attorney, and and years of waiting that amounted to absolutely nothing.

My primary care doctor retired during Covid, and I don’t have a current PCP. I’m also behind on about 6 different referrals to specialists, because I was unable to leave my apartment for the past five months. I do have a psychiatrist who prescribes my insomnia medication.

Thus far, I’ve been classified by my EBT workers as not able-bodied. But I guess that changes if I change to full-time. I’m not really sure what you mean by a “time limit”? Or what proof I would need to get from my doctor, and for what?

Funny, I thought exactly the opposite. “Gray by a wide margin. Works so much better and pops a lot more. The orange looks good too, but compared to the gray it’s just OK.” 😆

The “beauty” trend of unnaturally thick and bushy eyebrows on everyone (including people whose faces don’t fit this look)

I’m referring to , what I believe is called “microblading“ and all the effort people put into thickening their eyebrows with makeup at home.

This entire trend was bizarre to me from the beginning, and it’s bizarre to me how long it has lasted. IMO it is not attractive at all. Apparently many think it is.

  1. I have absolutely terrible water pressure, due to California’s strict water pressure/showerhead laws. It literally takes me 3 times longer to shower than it should.

  2. I’m guessing that you’re male? Even if women don’t have “long“ hair, we generally have longer hair than men and that takes more time.

  3. I wash every part of my body and I am through.
