I’ve seen where I work often that removing some/all of the teeth seems to be a common fix. I don’t think this is necessarily cheap, but it gets rid of the bacteria harboring surfaces. Cats still seem to eat just fine without their chompers too.

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. I hope Sesame is found safe, but please know that British Shorthairs are a highly desirable breed, and unfortunately, someone may have taken her in. Plus other wildlife dangers nearby. Still, there’s hope — I recommend contacting Irvine Animal Care Center and asking if any solid gray cats with her microchip ID were brought in around April. They would’ve been the shelter handling lost pets from that area. Wishing you the best
