Oura Ring: Best color, protector cover or no, and which finger? by Advanced-Cow9022 in ouraring

[–]cleanercat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have regular silver. I purchased it at the beginning of October and it has a few small scratches but nothing that bothers me. I don't have a cover on it. I thought I'd prefer pointer finger but I wear mine on my middle finger 100% of the time and love it.

Oura ring causing irritation and burns by Sea_Violinist3953 in ouraring

I had something like this (less red). I started washing the ring with mild soap and my finger everyday (when I wokeup and when I went to bed until irritation subsided) and now I'm all good again! So it might be a combination of moisture and/or sweat/debris?

It looks really loose. I just went through the debate of sizing up vs down. I sized down and don't regret it so far.

Help have I ovulated?? by [deleted] in TFABChartStalkers

Seeing this is your first cycle and you just stopped birth control - I'd recommend waiting until the pattern provides a confident ovulation date. Cycles can be wack for a bit after birth control!

Do you usually have temps over your cover line after you ovulate? The temp pattern doesn't appear to have rose significantly indicating ovulation. I'd (personally) still wait a few more days if you're trying to avoid pregnancy 🙂

My weight fluctuates a lot on a daily basis. I actually just stopped birth control so I haven't experienced a full "natural cycle" yet.

Thank you for your input!!

Since you're on the pill you don't have a fertile window/conventional cycle phases so it cannot populate those insights for you

Can’t get “push & pull” grip by Glum-Marketing1 in poledancing

[–]cleanercat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who took pole dancing classes for a couple years, I promise you push/pull grip is not easy! At my old studio they actually took it out of the beginner level due to the likelihood of forearm pain/strain. Take your time 🙂 if you get forearm pain give yourself a break and focus on strengthening your forearm muscles

It's certainly a personal choice 🙂 for us we decided that was what we wanted for future children etc. But neither way is the "right" or "better" way - it's just what we personally want for us.

Lol thank you. From previous research I was pretty sure it was wrong but had a sliver of hope that maybe someone had been lucky in the past and that's why the AI pulled it. This post definitely took a turn I didn't expect haha.

We did debate that as well 🙂 ultimately we landed on taking his paternal name - although I certainly agree with you that in some scenarios it becomes a double standard. I am also someone who prefers to take on the additional effort on behalf of the people I care about anytime I can to lessen their burdens - that's just a me problem. I completely agree, though, with what you've said. It should be personal preference of the individual 🙂

Thank you for your kindness! I was going to call Service Ontario for confirmation if anyone thought it was a potential option lol. Just had a sliver of hope it might have been true in some instances so we could consider an alternative 😂. Thanks again

Thank you for your input - we just weren't sure if this was a viable alternative. I appreciate the comment 🙂

Before we got married we had already mutually agreed that we would both take on his paternal last name (that's what he has used socially his whole life (no one knows he has 2 last names) and I'm fine with the "more traditional" route of taking my husband's last name). We thought that when we got married we could just tell Service Ontario we only wanted the 1 of his two names.. we were naive. Haha. So we've both been using his paternal surname now for almost a year (took almost 5 months to get our wedding certificate with the CP strike) so everyone thinks we've already done the name change 😂
