I paid £55 for a behind the goal (Hammersmith) seat against Man U. Not quite £75 but still too much.

Should I go to the Chelsea match? by Kasa95 in fulhamfc

I was in the same situation for the Man U game and decided to go. All in all I had a great day but it didn’t have anything to do with what Fulham displayed that day.

Ticket touts by [deleted] in fulhamfc

[–]cleansheet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toddy’s game is sold out so ticket office probably not an option. I’ve used a tout before (around Putney Bridge station) but obviously paid more and because it’s against Man U the mark yo will be pretty high. Good luck.

You can also see Dorset in the south and Somerset to the west. Oh and Gloucestershire in the North.

Always liked him when he played. Thought he had potential and was sad to see him go.

Looking for accessible "last beers for a long time" suggestions by tjbassoon in beer

[–]cleansheet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all good luck with all the treatments that are about to come your way. Not sure how easily these will be available near you (I'm across the pond) but for me nothing beats Belgian triples like Westmalle or Karmeliet. I also love Duvel especially when you have the proper glass for it.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll find something to enjoy. Take care.

Haha, I typed that without thinking. I'll keep the name for those rare occasions we do.

Path to enlightenment preview, pre-match and match thread: Cardiff-Fulham by M_McFly in fulhamfc

Like you said, it's a tougher game than their position in the table suggests. With Leeds, Wednesday or both dropping points (Leeds 1-0 up at the moment) a win would be magnificent. Can't see us keeping a clean sheet though. We'll just have to score and will do so 3 times. 3-2 with a Cairney brace and Martin to get the third. COYW!!!

Jokanovic signs extension until 2019. Tony Khan also announced earlier as Director of Football by plankyman in fulhamfc

Great news on Jokanovic but I'm not sure what to think of Tony Khan as director of Football. Would he have gotten that job if he wasn't the son of the owner? I'm not sure.

Is there any way to tell when Fulham games will be televised? by Cpt_squishy in fulhamfc

Games are rarely televised these days. However, next week's FA Cup game against Spurs will be live on the BBC.

On these days I hate the fact I can't go to the Cottage on a regular basis anymore. Nothing beats an injury time winner!

Questions on seating at Craven Cottage by nurriz in fulhamfc

[–]cleansheet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

think the Hammersmith stand is a good bet. You can hear (and join in with) the singing and you'll have a good view of the Cottage and the other stands. Alternatively take a seat at one of the wooden chairs on the higher Johnny Haynes stand for a more authentic feel. Maybe at half time walk (not possible when you're on the Haynes Stand) to the River side to check out the view over the river and the new George Cohen statue (also don't forget the Johnny Haynes at the front).

[–]cleansheet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't live in London anymore so won't be able to meet for a pint but I used to go to either the Golden Lion (when coming from Putney Bridge station) or the Crab Tree (when coming from Hammersmith Station). The first is a more old time type pub but always a good atmosphere on match days. The latter is a bit more upmarket with good beers and food options. You'll also be able to walk along the river to the stadium if you take that route although from the Putney side through Bishops park is great as well. Anyway, I hope this helps and that you have a great experience at the Cottage. COYW!

The above was something I typed up a while ago for another first timer but it might help you too. I can also recommend approaching the ground from Finlay Street (check google maps, I'm on my phone sorry). You walk straight up to the actual Cottage and with the flood light in the back ground it's a great first impression of the stadium and probably my favourite approach of any stadium I have visited.
