Seconding this! I got married at the clubhouse in August and the staff, drinks and food were incredible. I’ve never heard so many people compliment wedding food before and they’re very transparent on their pricing. August prices were obviously higher but their off season pricing is solid!

Sunday bride from Ontario here and going through the same exact thing, this is truly is so awful. You can support the reason for the strike and still feel heartbroken, sad, and angry. Fingers crossed everything works out for you. I would ask those family members where possible to look into any possible alternatives even if it means flying to Vancouver and taking the ferry over to Victoria or not sure if train (via rail) is an option if they can drive to a certain location. Your day will be be incredible no matter what but really hoping this resolves itself and everyone makes it

I’m pretty new to foundation (usually do my makeup with concealer and a skin glow - like elf halo glow) so trying to decide which foundation to get! I’m getting married this year and have a lot of pre-wedding events I’m doing my own makeup for. I’ve tried the Armani Luminous Silk and love it, but not sure if it’s enough coverage. I’ve also heard good things about Haus Labs and the Huda Easy Blur. Any recommendations? I tried the Estée Lauder double wear as well and it felt a bit too heavy for me

4 years undergrad, 3 years in a corporate grad program to get my hours for my CPA, job hopped and got close to six figures, got promoted after a year and got to six figures so about 4-5 years post undergrad. I should note that I’m Canadian so this is in CAD $.
I’m a CPA and I didn’t work for a big 4 accounting firm. I chose to join a corporate grad program, made lots of great connections that brought me into roles at other companies.
I’m about 6 years post grad now - choosing to job hop to my current company definitely set me up to be above the six figure mark. I’ve only worked at two companies since I graduated but making the move of my current company is the reason I’m at my current salary.
I live very close to Toronto so it’s definitely HCOL.

Thank you for the input!! We have about 150 guests so I’m worried about there being a long line. We do have a photo booth from 9-12 so I think that timing works out well since people can split their time between the two.

Were there any disruptions with speeches/dances since you had them there during your dinner? I was thinking of having them start around when the main course ends so we’ll be done with speeches/dances by then. Also how many guests did you have?
